Can anyone recommend a rivnut tool? Does the hardware kit include the rivnuts?

I just took one of the bolts in the kit, took a large lock washer and a nut that was bigger then the bolt. Slide the nut on, then the washer, then thread the bolt into the rivnut. Then hold the nut in place then tighten the bolt. This will pull the rivnut into place.

This worked well on the LX as there is only 1 rivnut. Might be a hassle if you have a lot of them to do.

I have a couple for low volume work, the ones where you tighten a bolt to compress the rivnut are fine. I have one that is more like a rivet gun, where you squeeze a handle that I prefer. I think you can also get an pneumatic one if you do high volumes (or are a tool collector).

I'll try this since there is only one. I'm struggling to visualize though. Do you have a picture or something? Thanks!

I was going to purchase the slee formed sliders today, but it says they're out of stock on the website 🙁

@sleeoffroad Any ideas when they'll be back in stock (200 LC)?

Likewise, I put my name into the website and would like a set!

Bout freakin’ time! When do the 35s get mounted up?

It could happen anytime I get bored. A few plumbing projects on the travel trailer first.

Got a nice divot on the windshield that turned into a full crack which needs addressing.

Bumping this old thread with a fresh install of the aluminum skids for an LC 200. Bought with the catalytic converter guards. Item shipped from slee within a few days of order placement. Promptly came as a freight delivery that required scheduling but arrived without a hitch. The install was straightforward. The only critique I really have involves the push nuts that slee gives to keep some of the carriage bolts in place. These are the worst f@%$ing push nuts I have ever seen. Plain and simple they just don't work well. If they worked as advertised I think install would be really easy. With current hardware it took a little more finagling that I would think necessary. I also needed a floor jack to lift the crossmember a hair to get the new bolts in. Even still this is a 2 hour job, and not too bad. Overall pleased with the skids. Looking forward to my next oil change when I don't have to remove the entire front OEM skid plate to get to the filter.
