This is the second set I've made, and they turned out nicer than the first version. I missed taking pics of a couple steps, but you get the idea...

Thanks Z! It's not too tough, but I would not recommend this project for someone who's never used a sewing machine... Sewing up the seam to make the cones and then on either side to flatten out that seam was a bit tight. And you will need a "one sided" foot for the sewing machine to sew the cones onto the wire frame. I still needed to use a needle and thread to tighten up the corners, as the machine would not get in too tight...

Those look great. In spite of my taking a sewing class in college (before anybody says anything, it was "sewing outdoor equipment") I would still rather get a crowbar in my wallet and call CDan.

*Nice!!

:flipoff2: So where's mine and pony up for a star man! :hillbilly:

The market for boots to go over the reduction cases is growing as is the market for the 1st and 2nd-gen center consoles that have the removable pocket so when you put a boot on it all comes out slick and clean. Make yourself some $ sew-boy!

*Funny, because we're headed out of town and the wife will be learning to use my old machine as well as a serger. It'll be nice to stitch up some seat covers and modify a suburban cover into a SUV-Tent. :D

IOW, Pappy, we aren't laughing at you..

Just yet.

cutting it up and using the arms for the shifters..
