I am a new pig owner that picked up a gem. I found this 1969 55 in my local town from its original owner. This pig is stock and very clean with a lot of the unobtainium items. I would also like to thank my good friend Rob for helping me get her running . As you can see she is perrty straight and only needs a few items,(like the gear for the rear window motor) to say every thing works. I am so stocked to now have this pig in my FJ family.

Nice find

Welcome

Where are you located?

Edit: I just figured out which "Rob" you were speaking of.

Nice find.....any upcoming mods? I've always liked the rare turn signals (and thought they were just limited to the 68 model). Keep the pics coming on what you do!!

Find

Great Find! looks in really great shape without the devil rust running all through it.

Welcome to the obsession. IH8MUD will be you favorite place to come for ideas, advice, encouragement, and every now and then the answer to the question. (Why did I do this?)

Have fun - need anything just let us know.

Welcome aboard!

Wow! You have yourself a beauty there. Super clean rig. Have to wonder about those side reflectors. Not the expert here but have to wonder if they are stock. IMO It would look better without them. So, if you don't mind me asking, what is this unobtanium of which you speak? And how much did you pay for her.

I just started my first Pig, too hope that you are having a great time with the fj55. What are your plans for the Landcruiser? The one thing you should always remember is it is a adventure and it is not always going to be rainbows and sun shine, you will have those rainy days too. The Side reflectors are factory.

I talked to Rob landcrusier909 and he did a video about the pig. we found a complete tool kit and the motor crank. also talked to him about the turn signal lights, which I have read and found them to only be on the years 68-69. Im still looking so ill update on my 2700 investment.

WOW if you picked that pig up for $2700, you got an amazing deal!!

I hate to be a purist, and if you have seen my pig you know I am not, but that pig is a candidate for a great restore possibly a very light update. (springs, tires, cruiser disc brakes, and power steering)

Excited to see what you do with it!

Ryan
