Desert Tan.....or White of course

Pink = 2
Rebadge to Lexus and paint it pink digital camo with a white cap = 1  Ebag

So are you gonna count both types of pink as one? If you do that, I think pink is in the running.....

Green!!!

My vote is John Deere Blitz Black... Super easy to spray and super hard. Another bonus is the jams won't look so out of place.

Here are a few examples of cars painted with it:

That looks good, what exactly is the product?

Desert Tan if I were keeping it.

OEM Emerald Green to match existing if I were going to sell it later on, just easier and then you do not have to worry about engine bay, door jams and all of the tedious areas.

Here's some interesting choices with an angle that allows for examining the white top idea....

and I threw in a pink to satisfy that crowd...

I'm surprised at how good the white cap looks. Making me think about it.... :hmm:

I do like the white cap look. I'm pretty sure I'll keep the fender flares, I like the wide look.
A lot of great ideas are popping up on this thread. Thanks again for all your input.

So far my plan is to do it all myself.
I'm also going to remove the crap on the roof and weld up the holes, eventually it'll have a proper roof rack.
It needs new gaskets for the fender flares, have to order those still.
I'm doing some construction in the garage and tracking down tools I need.
I'm not going to buy paint until I'm ready to spray, then we'll count the votes and see what color this pig is going to be!

More tips on prep are welcome! People keep telling me that it's all about proper prep work so let's hear your tips and keep the votes coming! My girlfriend finally voted. She says black, black and black. I wonder how a murdered out cruiser would look with a white cap...

My vote is old school Toyota Freeborn Red.

My favorite Toyota color ever. My 60 is going to get Freeborn Red and so will my new 80 body when I do the body swap...

Just like Devo said, go with two-tone just like the 55 series. The 80 already has the horizontal crease on the body just like its grandpa.

If I had to choose, I do like the blue/white combo.

Another vote for Green, but not just any green. OEM Sea Foam Green and White FJ55 Style, keeping the window frame area black. So, Sea Foam Green top/lid,White from the shoulder-line to the lid, and Sea Foam Green from the shoulder line down. Use that nice body line as your separator that starts behind the turn signal and kinda follows the curve of the fender flare. Also de-flare it and fill holes. When finishing it all up, use old emblems, not the FJ/FZJ80 ones. Retro FJ80!

I can't find a decent example of this color. Got any pics? Even though your name is green and you said green 5 times in your post it still only counts as one vote!
Now I gotta find this seafoam green...
