get rid of the stink bug look and that would be one of the cleanest looking 80's ive ever seen IMHO.

looks awesome! are you running J springs front and rear? Looks awfully low in the front.

When shes loaded she sits different! I took everything but the roll cage out to send her to the body shop and start this project! The rear gained almost two inches when this happend but I do have some front 1.5" spacers sitting here waiting to be installed. Hopefully the roof rack will go on tomm and the spacers this weekend... This is how she sits when loaded.

Low in front because of bumper and 12,000# winch taking there toll on springs over the years:doh:

Sweet ride either way IMO...paint rolled on? Very nice work and good call paying homage to the original. Looks good.

THe roof was rolled on the tan sprayed using hvlp gun. There are flaws in the tan due to mixing the paint to thin but the color hides them well.

I like it. It sure looks a ton better than the new Tan FJ Cruisers. The tan they chose just doesn't look good to my eye. Tan 60s have always been my favorite.

Especially the walmart first aid kit :flipoff2:

JK, i like that color a LOT!

Well Im done with this paint project for now. I have to say I liked the way it looked before the wet sand and polish better. But I didnt do a great job on them either. This color is very forgiving on flaws though and in the sun light you have to be very close to see them. By next weekend It wont matter that much because she will be dirty and scratced up from the brush anyways. All and all I am very happy with the way it turned out and I can always repaint in a weekend now!!! Here is the final product minus sliders and snorkel.
