And that breather is threaded in, right?

Old post I know, just to follow up on this for the others. This transfer case breather extension doesn’t thread in it taps into into the hole in my transfer case where I removed the original breather short cap. Also needed is tube, frame mounting bracket and a axle breather end cap.

It’s purpose is to extend a breather with a tube to the frame to help prevent water entry and to made the breather easier to service so it doesn’t plug causing gear oil to push past the seal into the transmission.

Also to run this transfer case behind a H55F this hole will need to be plugged as there no threaded bolt provision in the H55F to stop oil swapping.

Oh man new clean sexy parts....

Since this thread is almost 8 years old, I highly recommend getting these assemblies from Cruiser Outfitters. They not only beat Toyota pricing, they provide the necessary technical support for this assembly.

Anyone can sell a part; the differentiation is being knowledgeable and having the wherewithal to know how the assembly fits into the grander scheme of things.

I second that. Kurt @cruiseroutfit is awesome and always helpful.

As a point of reference, our most common tcase offering (TC36110) does not have the middle hole drilled thru, meaning it is ready to bolt to an H55F. For those bolting them to 4spd transmissions that need the hold, it's easily drilled (we are happy to do that) or we can supply the other tcase BUT the OE T-Case version with the hole is significantly more $$$.

The hole I'm pointing to is the one in question.

100%

Kurt and his crew are my first choice for parts and supplies.

Can we still get the parts to put this behind an A343 auto? It looks like they did come that way in some trucks.
