Are there any other grille options out there? I’m needing to order an OEM, and before I do so wanted to see if there was anything decent.

We need some more people to reach out to get some other variations going 😁
In the video he mentions they are planning to do inserts with the regular Lexus and Toyota emblems as well, so that might be an option for you.

I like this, I'd like a version that made the grill look more like the 80 or 60 grills even better.
I’m with you - would love a LC 100 series grille that was a more direct clone of the 80 series TOYOTA style grilles (more of a vintage look).

I was waiting for one of these grills to be in stock for my 05LX470. When one finally did I pulled the trigger and ordered the grill. Took about a week for the grill to arrive and it looked great, however, the grill I received was meant for an earlier model LX470 like the one the OP used on his LX (great installation video by the way!). So I contacted Garage Alpha Offroad right away and sent them pictures of the grill I received and the connection points of my hood. They were very apologetic and in a week or so I had a new grill. The new grill looked correct, however, it had 5 attachment points on the top half and three on the bottom, none of which align with the attachment points on my hood which consists of 3 up top and 2 on the bottom. This was a bummer to discover because at this point I had assumed the replacement grill was correct (my bad) and removed my oem grill (breaking two attachment points off my oem grill in the process - old brittle plastic). Anyways, I was able to get my old oem grill re-attached with the 3/5 attachment points that remained. I sent an email to Garage Alpha Offroad and also called them. I have received an auto reply email saying they are "reviewing my email". I'm hoping they can get me the correct grill, as the two that they sent look awesome. I just need the grill that is in the install video with the black LX470. We'll see what happens. I'll keep you all updated.

This may be another option for those looking.

Looks identical - no idea if it actually fits or not. Anyone ever ordered from these guys before?

I've noticed that their shipping has also come down from the insane prices they were asking before

I'm still waiting to hear back on if they'll send the proper grill for my vehicle. I did get an email from someone and they made it sound like they understood what happened, but I haven't gotten a new shipping notification. I reached out to the TEQCustoms website (Thanks Willie) and they got back to me right away. So if I can't get the proper grill from the garage alpha offroad people I will at least have a backup option, and one that seems to respond to my emails right away.

After a week of waiting on a response and not hearing anything I just decided to send both grills back to Garage Alpha Offroad and asked them for a refund. I"m hoping I hear back from them, or at least see the refund in my bank account.

I really wish alpha or teq customs would make a grill for the 98-02 LC. So sad I never got a sharknet grill

Looks like land shark has a “big announcement” coming if you look on their website. Garage alpha does have a trd style grill for the 98-02 landcruiser, it’s supposedly the same one they accidentally sent me but it has a big Toyota emblem instead of the Lexus one. The garage alpha and teq custom grills are plastic though, which for me isn’t a dealbreaker because the oem grill on my Lexus is plastic anyways.

Assuming I understand correctly - the Land Shark - shark net grills require and good bit of fitment and are far from bolt on. Not a deal breaker, but just worth noting it would want something with minimal changes to the factory mounting.

Yeah that shark net grill isn’t something I’d be interested in. With my luck I’d tear things apart that couldn’t be put back together and then I’d mess up the install (which I almost managed to do with the garage alpha grill, ha!)
Update - They contacted me a couple hours ago and said the correct grill should be going out today or tomorrow. Hoping the third time is a charm.

So Garage Alpha Off-road came through in the end. Received the third grill today. First thing I did was flip it over to look for the mounting points and they appeared to be in the correct locations! Got it mounted up and in my opinion it looks pretty awesome. Excellent cosmetic upgrade. I got the three amber raptor lights cause why not. I’ll have to figure out how to wire those in. Anyone know of a thread on here for wiring raptor lights on a LX470?

I ran my wiring for the raptor lights under the hood liner, down to the hood hinge, up the driver side fender, and spliced into the drivers side parking light. I had to extend the wiring harness to reach the light and allow enough slack to still remove the light.

I see, so you didn’t bother running it into the fuse box then? Do your raptor lights come on and stay on as long as the truck is running?

Looks great! Makes me want to get one for my '06....

Thanks! I'm happy with how it came together. Garage Alpha Offroad was able to deliver he correct grill on the third try. They mentioned they were having some issues with their warehouse. All good in the end.
I only got real nervous after they sent the second grill. I had just assumed it was the correct one which was my bad, so as soon as it showed up I removed my oem grill. Of course after 18 years the bolts were rusted together so I sprayed them down with some JB80 and let them sit for a bit before I removed them. Well I ended up breaking two of the brittle plastic clips off the 18 year old oem grill. The rectangle head bolts fit snugly in the plastic clips of the gill and when I removed the nuts the plastic wasn't strong enough to hold the head of the bolts agains the rotational forces I was applying to the nut. I initially thought to myself "bummer" but wasn't too worried until I realized I had the wrong replacement grill! Talk about panic! I thought I'd be driving around without a grill until I was able to get the proper one and at this point I wasn't sure that was gonna happen! Well like I said, they came through and I was even able to use the same hardware from my oem grill. So, word to the wise if anyone is planning to make the switch to this TRD style grill, be sure you have a hold of the bolts snugly in a pliers prior to attempting to remove the nut!

Nope, I did not add an additional fuse. The raptor lights come on anytime the parking lights are on.
Would you be able to post a pic of where you spliced the wire in? I got the lights installed yesterday and ran the cord down the drivers side fender but haven't actually wired them in yet. I'm a bit unsure on how to proceed. I like your idea of wiring them to the parking lights.
