Sold my 3rd Gen 99 4Runner for the only thing I'd be willing to let it go for, a factory locked FZJ80! I'm the second owner and bought it needing a head gasket so I got a pretty sweet deal. 154k miles on it. First pic was how I got it, remaining pics are after an AMAZING detail by my guy. Plenty to do and I'm sure I'll need advice. I've got a lot of PM to handle before any real mods.

I'd appreciate help from you guys on what this thing should sell for. I'm NOT going to sell but I'm curious what it might be worth. Brakes and tires are good. Frame is solid with some surface rust that will be corrected shortly! Glad to be here!

Asking how much it might be worth is not starting out on a good note!
As you will soon see, people debate this with every oz of energy they (don't) have! The correct answer is "whatever someone is willing to pay for it", but if you want #'s...... how about from $2000-$25000.

X2 ^

Looks great, cure the rust/cancer. Then keep it, enjoy it, and spend $$$$ freely, she deserves it.

Looks awfully familliar. How about some interior pics. More pics. Take a picture of everything. I mean it.

Nice find. Enjoy and welcome to the club.

Welcome to the club.

It's not worth enough to be considered an investment. Really though, once the PM is done, you'll be in several thousand and when you start the mods, well, those are expensive too. I think a built rig with good PM goes for about $12k but you have to spend that much to make it worth that much.

Now that I think of it, the market for these is actually very efficient :meh:

I agree. Built rigs in good (not great) condition seem to go for around $12-15k these days. I don't ever plan on selling mine, but if something were to happen its nice to know that at least I wouldn't lose any money. Making money on these rigs isnt really possible right now at least. However I'd imagine that will change in a few years time...
