Will I realize someday that it is all crap, it tastes good at first, but makes you feel like s*** another day!

I don't think so, LOL

Looks good, Ross. Does your fuel tank have an unleaded petrol restrictor like we do? Diesel bowser nozzles don't fit!

Good point .It does have a restrictor. I filled it up from a jerry can the other day.
I dont want to do that all the time

aircon puzzle

This is my new aircon compressor that I got yesterday. Its supposed to a straight replacement for HZJ75 comp and its even made by Denso in Indonesia.

What I dont understand is why it only has one outlet on the top and there is none on the sides either.
The aluminium plate mentions High3.53Mpa and Low 1.67Mpa as if there is a high and low pressure sides.

The plastic cap on the single outlet has a L stamped on it , for LOW??

Is there anyone who can tell me how I fit this into my existing aircon?

I can get a refund but I thought I would see if anyone out there knows the answer 1st.
I got it off someone I get most of my small parts from but they are not much help on advice when it comes to fitting parts.

Beanz,I can fill it at the bowser with a plastic funnel;)

Wow, I'd figure there has to be at least an inlet and a discharge

Could the shop have supplied you one where you have to replace the top plate to fit your particular engine? Does the top plate look like it is a substantially permanent piece or just a temporary cover until it can be installed? It may be there just to test it at the factory, but this is my wild ass guess :D

Does the pulley placement look correct?

Plastic funnel, LOL. I remember in the early days of unleaded we could buy bowser adapters to fill our tanks with regular leaded petrol.

You could be right Dave. The top plate looks similar in size to my old one.
I believe they supply these to the mines so it would have to fit the 105 and 75 series.
Its got to work somehow but its strange it has just one inlet.

Pulley placement looks good from memory.

Update. Dave you hit the nail on the head. The plate is only temporary and the sinlge inlet is to mildy pressurise the pump to stop the seals drying out.:D

 missed this earlier, my new compressor was the same, had to fit the top off the old unit.. :o  will be glad you bought a new one, super cool.

I hoped to use my old hoses but I dont know if it will work as the 1HZ compressor sits higher than the F comp.

I am looking forward to it as they are forecasting a long hot one here:D

Anyone got pics of a 1HZ coolant overflow bottle installed?. I seem to be missing something or have the wrong bottle

When I fitted mine I got two new aftermarket hoses for 2H made up by the guys I bought my parts off, cost $24.99 and $27.99 can be made to any length. Genuine Toyota needed to come from Japan and both were nearly $100.00 each. Also fitted a new receiver under the dash as a lot of the vents in mine were clogged with mud and several days of soaking and hosing could not remove it.

I found an aircon wrecker who says he can match up the OEM hoses and the fittings I will need so its identical to a HZJ 7# aircon system:D
I never even knew aircon wreckers existed:D

I also had a new exhaust or to be more precise ,melded the 1HZ into the the old 3F exhuast so it is similar to a HZJ73 system.

Im really happy with it as they matched up the flanges to suit the Toyota ones and it was real cheap:D

The metal fuel line thats not connected is the old one that use to go to the charcoal canister. I plan to use it to bring the rear diff breather into the engine bay:idea:

I will run a new tank vent hose to the diesel filler tube when I get one

It sure does but the u bolt is in the shadow of the driveshaft. You could probably do it without disconnecting the exhaust, there is more room than it looks

I knew I would get around to answering this one day:D

Ive used a fuel tank tube from a BJ70. It looked a difficult install without removing the tank.
So I took off the f/g flare of the rear wheel arch which allowed me some more room.

The diesel filler tube had the same breathers as the old gasser filler tube except the diesel had a non return vent/valve.
