Hmm, used to be able to put a beer on the fender - will have to work around that I guess, maybe weld a bracket on the fender.
I like the pick up!

Lets face it ,its an oversized Surf:rolleyes:

Diff doesnt look any bigger either

I suspect that tow hoop is a "get home thing" rather than a recovery point like earlier models had
I want the old model back:crybaby::crybaby::crybaby:

Oh no you didnt;) (but yes you should!!) yes our trucks (highlux) havent been the same (IE TUFF) since the last 85 solid axle, you lucky bastards down under have it good when it comes to your choice in Toyotas. I will always own an 83 style (in my avatar)

all in all nice rig, I am guessing it will grow on you like most of Toyotas new designs (when they start "americanizing" - no diesels or solid axles then you should bitch!!!)

horrible front :frown:

I agree. I'm a huge 70 series fan. The front end is disappointing but I guess it has to go somewhere in terms of an update. The lack of flat fenders like lshobie notes is disappointing too. Oh well...

317 ft lbs isn't bad... be a nice swap into the older, better looking models :D

I thought 430 NM are 582 lb/f I'm fine . ?

Agree with older better loking models .. ! :grinpimp:

Latest news is that aussie dealers will begin getting deliveries on the 23rd of March
I also heard the V8 petrol willbe available in the 79 and 76 series.

On a sad note ,the 105 series is reportedly no longer part of the landcruiser line up.
I think it would have been the ultimate cruiser, big V8 diesel wagon with solid front axle.RIP

I'm little disapointed with those performace numbers .. I'm still awaiting the real numbers for V8 Toyota Twin turbo diesel intercooler !

Something like 300 HP and 600 lb/p ..

All cool pics and all, but show us some engine pics.
Just pop the hood and show that V8!!
