Looking to buy a couple full carpet kits. One for an 86 fj60 and the other for a 90 fj62.
There are some questions I need answered.

Are they the same kit?

What would the shipping to 79907 zip be for Each?

I was referred to DNP by Nolan Grogan and a few others on the 60 and 62s NA FB page and am very interested in your product.
Would it be possible to contact you by phone or for you to call me at 915-630-3422 for an introduction to answer some specifics on installation?

Look forward to hearing from you!

PM sent. Thanks.

I just opened the box from DNP that I have had for a couple months. Finally ready to install and the carpet is AWSOME. It includes Jute carpet padding which is a major plus. This is a hell of a nice kit. Well worth the price and the wheel well covers are a great addition since replacements are $$$.

I have a question and am hoping to get feedback from folks who have already installed this kit.

I have done the back of my truck and it looks good. I purchased jute for this project before I ordered my kit. I finally got my H55 installed and my heater removed from under the passenger seat and am ready to finish this project. This kit has some jute in places and I am wondering if anyone has put an additional layer down? My floor is covered in the foil butyl and I was thinking about lightly spray gluing my jute in before installing the front two sections. Give me extra sound and heat insulation. Please chime in if you have done this and have any feedback. I was also thinking that since the foil backed layer is so slick that maybe this option would keep the carpet in place better as well.

Absolutely on the extra jute. I did a complete front lower firewall to tailgate insulated jute. Bought the double sided stuff from Speedway Motors.

Aluminized Heat and Noise Insulation Shield, Double Sided

Huge difference in sound and heat insulation. Letting it float on the larger area lets it form and settle better under the carpet.

Same stuff I used but from Summit Racing. Price was the same. Great stuff and yes it works wonders.
In the 60 the heat to keep in the cab. In my old Chevelle, to keep the 3" exhaust pipe heat out of the cab. This is the only stuff I use now.

After a ton of research I found this to be the best bang for your buck.

I used the same double foil stuff front to back on top of CruiserCrap. Doubled up on the front floor boards and over the trans hump I believe.

Does anyone want to sell me just the rear cargo tailgate piece from this kit in grey? Maybe you have tool storage in your tailgate and don’t need yours. I bought a different carpet kit and I’m not satisfied with the rear tailgate piece. Mine doesn’t have the wrap around vinyl edge like this one does. Thanks.

I believe most upholstery shops could sew one on for you and it wouldn't be very expensive.

Based on all the favorable reviews, I just placed an order for a carpet kit in black for my 89 62. Looking forward to this.

Any suggestions/tips on install would be welcomed.

Take your time. Leave the trimming of the outside edges for the very last and do it in small increments.

So I finally got mine finished. I had a long wait from doing the front and the back as i was waiting until I got my 5 speed installed. I also opted to remove the heater under my passenger seat as I am in Texas and I get plenty of heat from the front vents. One suggestion on the install- I never liked how far the carpet dips as it comes up to the edges of the door. Just seems like a bad fit. My solution was to order extra channels and double them up at the edge of the door. As the floor flattens out at the front I simply trimmed the bottom with a utility knife so it kept the carpet flat as it neared the door. Came out great. The whole project totally changed the look of my truck.

1. stripped out old carpet and used a metal bristle on a drill to clean off the stuck on padding.
2. laid foil back butyl layer for sound deadening.
3. spray glued a layer of jute over the entire front and middle section so carpet would not slide on the foil backing.
4. installed DNP carpet. I used an exacto that heated up to cut holes, change blade often. Check and measure 3-4 times before making a cut, and cut a little and fit and then cut more if you need to.....you cant uncut.

Last tip would be to order a 12 inch pair of scissors off of Amazon. You will be glad you did. Heavy duty scissors are great for cutting the carpet and jute.

Looks great. Appreciate the tips.

So, front piece doesn't come with precut holes for auto stick or transfer stick?

Front piece doesn't come with precut holes for tranny or transfer stick

No, and that is the trickiest part. You lay the middle section in and get it as straight as you can stretching the carpet over the humps that hold your seats in. You will probably have to trim where the seat heater goes as well as some off the sides so it will lay as flat as possible. Once you have that done, cut the holes for the seat anchors and then screw the bolts and washers in to hold your carpet steady and then begin to slowly cut where you need to. When you get to the front section it is much the same way. You will want to remove your stick shift. You can feel the top of your tranny through the carpet and can cut out a circle just big enough for the top of the tranny to poke through and the same with your transfer shifter. Only cut enough to let the carpet lay flat at this point. Bolt the carpet in and then start trimming slowly, saving the stick and transfer holes for very last. I even had my door trim on before I made those cuts. Oh, and you will have to cut some of the front to get it to tuck under your AC as it will be too long. Anyway, take your time and when you get tired or frustrated take a long break.

Good luck.

Appreciate this.

Any thoughts on using the old piece as a template for the shifter (tranny and transfer) cuts?

Using it as a general guide is good but error on the side of caution and leave some play in there

Question—okay to add the extra jute (or something of similar thickness) on the wheel tubs too? Wondering if it would cause the carpet not to fit right.
