I've used POR15 and I think it rocks. It dries smooth and is hard as nails. Mine adhered very well but I also went through all of POR's steps of cleaning and prep with their products. I've heard you can scrub w/ purple power, rinse well, then etch with phospo sumtin' another (at the hardware store) and it will work just as well. I've also just slathered some on a spot on my frame without any prep to see how it would stick and it did well.

Top coating POR15 sucks. I've seen their tie-coat (sp) primer not even work well.

Marshall used Rust Bullet on his 40 and it seems to have much less prep - pretty much need a clean surface and you are good to go.

But, if I was in your shoes and had a pretty good frame that I just wanted to protect a bit on the inside and had some POR15 sitting around I would just go ahead and spray the inside of the frame with it. The frame would probably be OK without it so the POR15 wouldn't hurt.

well got the frame cleaned up. it was caked with mud, it took a while to get it cleaned. sunday ill probably take alot of the drivetrain off so i can scuff it up and por 15 the whole thing.

on the frame , there isnt any place that needs repairing of any kind. the plan is to go over it with a grinder and sanding disc with 120 grit, just to take some of the surface rust off, and then just brush the por on top.

that is the ramsey pto winch. what do you want pic off? i can take them now before i go back to work. oh and i found some more parts you are welcome to. just let me know when you want to come buy and get them

sent the body off last friday, purchased paint, got all the little pieces and big pieces primed sanded and ready for paint. now comes the fun and expensive stuff, ordering parts. where should i get my body mounts from. ccot has some fairly priced polyethylene. where else should i check.?
