Hey, all! I am the new owner of a 1975 FJ55. 2F, 4 speed, 31s, seems to be mostly stock and almost rust free... Lots of cancer on the roof and one spot on each front fender near the door. Runs and drives awesome (drove it home ~30 miles) and I can't wait to start cleaning it up and taking it out. I'm new to Toyotas and can't wait to learn all there is about these pigs. Any help and guidance is much appreciated. I've been devouring info from the forum for the past week. Here's a teaser pic from the night I got it home but more will come when I get a little more time. Cheers! ~Matt

From one new PIG owner to another new Pig owner this is my best advice.

Get a note pad and write your budget numbers on the top of the first page and list your objectives for this build.

Research what parts are actually available for the FJ55’s and what they sell for then on the second page double your budget numbers and set some realistic objectives for this build.;)

And on the third page, keep a list of the actual amount spent. When done with your build, rip the page out and chew it up, so your Wife doesn't find out!

Good luck with it and have some fun.

Congrats and welcome. Can't wait to hear about your progress on the new pig!!
