Description
After an incredible journey from the Netherlands to India and from South Africa to Kenia, the time has unfortunately come to sell our beloved Troopy. This is the ultimate two-person overland camper, and since we now have two beautiful children with a third on the way, we need to look for a larger model for our next long trip! We would love to sell our vehicle to an enthusiast who will embark on wonderful new adventures. The vehicle is currently located in the Netherlands, I can help with transportation to the US. As its a 1996 model, it is eligible for registration in the US.

If you’re interested, send me a message and can I send you a bunch of extra photos via mail.

I look forward to hearing from you

Price: SOLD

General Comments:

  • The vehicle has been privately owned since new and used solely as a travel vehicle (never used as a commercial vehicle).
  • Technically, the car is in good condition, always starts and runs smoothly and consumes no oil
  • The car has always been treated with love and respect, receiving timely maintenance with original Toyota parts.
  • Rebuilt transmission (8000 km ago)
  • The chassis is completely sound
  • A few small rust spots on the body have been professionally repaired recently
  • The paint has its fair share of souvenirs from a life of travel, but it still looks decent.

Car:
  • Toyota Land Cruiser HZJ75 left hand drive
  • Legendary 1HZ 6-cylinder 4.2-liter diesel (no oil consumption)
  • Manual 5-speed transmission with 4x4 transfer case for high/low gearing (rebuilt transmission installed 8000 km ago)
  • Year of manufacture: 1996
  • Mileage: 302,000km / 187,000 miles (still increasing)
  • Dual diesel tanks (90L + 110L)
  • Heavy-duty Dobinsons spring set and shock absorbers

  • LED floodlights on the sides and rear
  • Safari snorkel
  • 2x aluminum recovery tracks
  • Bull bar with tow strap
  • Step ladder at the rear
  • 2 new jerry cans for 40L extra diesel/water
  • 2x Recaro comfortable sports seats
  • 4x new Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx 235/85 R16 tires
Electrics:
  • 2x 150W solar panels mounted on the roof (often stood autonomously for over a week without starting the engine, always more than enough power available)
  • Victron MPPT solar controller
  • Victron Argofet charge distributor (the alternator and solar panels always charge the starter batteries first, then the household batteries; household consumers cannot drain the starter batteries)
  • 24V starter batteries
  • 24V house batteries
  • Inverter 24V>230V
Camper:
  • Aluminum pop-top with foldable comfortable slatted base (49"x98") (106" standing height at the back when raised)
  • Very heavy, waterproof, and windproof tent material, fully zippered to open with mosquito screens (comfortable sleeping in both 15°F and 105°C)

Beautiful camper, and great pics as well.
I never realized there was a desert in Holland.
Oh, wait...

ooohhhhh how you tempt me so.......:crybaby:

out of curiosity, how were you dealing with a spare tire

Oh wow. That is an amazing rig for a decent price considering its LHD , proven setup, with a great history and in addition a great color.

Thanks for your kind comments. Indeed, LHD, tried and tested setup and ready for a next trip

If you put a lot of air in the tires, could you drive it to the U.S.?

No, I guess not...
