well..

I went ahead and called Slee today just to order Hi-Lift jack mounts for my factory rack.....ended up with a short bus bumper, and a stripper pole w/ spare attachment. So much for a rear bumper. :D

I can't control myself at all I need some more 12 step meetings this week...

well...

The cruiser was dropped off today at noon. Tomorrow around noon I should be picking her up, I cant wait to see the how she looks.:bounce2:

Post some pics when you can, I like the bus bumper... no, I NEED the bus bumper!

update

I got the cruiser back for a few days. I am taking it back in on tuesday. Between the skid plate and the control arm brackets they had trouble getting the sliders mounted in the same general area, some interference. There are some vibrations of course, maybe some of them can be eliminated. The exhaust is too loud, I put a magnaflow on and its bugging me, thats easy to fix. It looks awesome overall though. I mounted the Slee bumper last night in my garage and was pretty pleased with myself, until I discovered that i tracked a bunch of grease into the house on the carpet:D.

I cant tell if the wheels are chrome or just new polished wheels, a little too shiny for my taste...

Im complaining a lot but let me tell you I am also really stoked, I just want to tweak a few things then I will feel better, LOL.... That will probably never end:lol:

Looking good man!

We'll have to schedule SD a meet and greet next month after the Oct. one was cancelled. What sliders did you end up going with?

I just ordered my Hanna sliders and can't wait to get them in a few weeks. I'm on the very slow mod plan and can only do something every 6 months or so.

Dan

I had some custom built by the guys at "The Truck Shop" I have not seen them yet but I will let you all know. Fortunately they are only setting me back $500 so if they are good I will be glad to have saved some $$. I have seen the hanna ones in person though and you will get what you pay for;).

I just mounted my spare on the stripper pole and also mounted my new Hi-Lift on the factory rack w/ the Slee mounts.

update

I mounted the spare on the Slee pole, the Hi-Lift on the roof, and added a few essential stickers too;). I also trimmed the front plastic caps from the running boards and screwed them back on, looks way better at the bottom of the flare. Should have the sliders on this week...

where?

Can you guide me to ordering one? I would like to have one for sure..

WELL

I sat and thought about going to SNT, I really can't afford it after what I have done w/ the cruiser, is that not ironic:lol:

They tallied up my progress at The Truck Shop and I have a balance of 18$ owed to them and I have not even got the sliders accounted for. Due to interference with the skid plate and control arm drop brackets and my request for cat protection, they abandoned the project and suggested I buy some Hanna sliders. I am almost at the end of my budget.

Sucks this is like the event of the year for LCs. Being a new owner I really would like to throw caution to the wind but the whole $$ thing is a prob.

I did get my winch installed today, took me about 4 hours.

Damn the sliders for 80s are EXPENSIVE!!!!!

update

Thanks for the compliments, no one appreciates what I have been up to like you all. Here is an updated pic with the winch installed. Nect on my list is the Scion H/U and some Pioneers I bought. Your right brentba the sliders are VERY important.

I am getting some spicer u-joints in to try and correct the vibes and noises I have now after the lift, it's coming from the front d shaft.:)

Looking good.

I really like the SB bumper!

BTW: you should add a signature line w/ spec/info.

yeah

Good I D'er

I think next weekend I might head down to Borrego and run Coyote Canyon, I can't wait to see what it feels like to run the same trail I have always run with IFS and 33"s. I actually took my stock Tacoma through it once, not bad.

Here is what I did to that Tacoma before I sold it...

Here is the Gimmick I bought after that one, no FJs are rad but if I wished I would have bought the FZJ instead.

Here is what I did to the Tacoma before I gave her up. I caught this little rock rash in Death Valley...

Awesome rigs you had there - now you can give us an unbiased report on how IFS vs SA compare.
