Thanks. Hmm. I'm guessing here, but is the switch for your light located in the center part of your dash?4/72 factory soft top here. Hope this helps.

This picture looks familiar. I'm out tonight however will provide dimension information tomorrow. I used the holes that were already in the dash. I know! its just a wire, like a choke cable, that ran directly to the throttle.

What was the reason for having the holes without the light? Was it because the light was an option?Believe 72-74 models in the US most had the holes. FST had the light and FHT had a plug.
@Engineer8000 I would really appreciate it. I'm looking for vertical and horizontal center-to-center dimensions for both the switch and the lamp assemblies.The switch moved over to the light in 73. I can measure mine this evening if you still need it.
Here are a couple more pictures.Below is a mockup using the revised dimensions from post #18. The pencil roughly approximates the hole size which is 22mm. The base of the fixture is approximately 45.21mm. I think that I will probably scooch the light down just a bit as it appears that the base would be tight up against the dash pad.
