A lot of 70's rock is over rated and NOT timeless.
60's a much better decade for music as long as it doesnt sound 50's ish. Can't stand the "twist n shout" music..
Some of the 80's grunge is better rock than the 70's.
I actually like some old school cuntry.
New music.....someone tell me whats good thats new.

most new music makes us realize what our music sounded like to our parents. I do like Clapton, and Allmon Bros., never cared for Zeplin.

I disagree. New music seems manufactured in focus groups by marketing majors.

The last time I enjoyed "new" music and would actually follow bands was the mid-late 90's. Around the time the rock scene switched from soundgarden and metallica to limp bizkit.....

Don't listen to much "new" music myself, did see that Caty Perry video for American Girls or something - worst music ever, but bitch is fine to look at.

If I could have only one artist to listen to for the rest of my life it would be Pink Floyd

Yeah, definitely Floyd

im in a bit of a floyd phase myself.... Zeplin is getting too over played. Early Stones is always nice.

Prolly since its the music of my youth....but I dig 90's grunge/rock.

60s is probably my favorite era of rock. Zep, the doors, dylan, skynrd, etc. Not sure what happened in the 70s. I think there was to much acid going around hence Flyod and The who. I am not a kiss fan and the stones are ok. I like Floyd and the Who alot more than Kiss. Cooper was good too. My favorite from this era would probably be Aerosmith. Black sabbath wasnt bad either. Thanks to cocaine the 80s gave us the hairbands creating a better era for music. 90s was good too but some of the s*** was depressing hence the grunge image. I rememeber when metallica was considered heavy metal. Im still trying to figure out how I was able to watch Beavis and Butthead for 30 minutes at time. I was absent from 2000-2004. That was an R&B era for me since it was preferred by rich college girls. There is nothing more slutty than a rich college white girl especially the ones with daddy issues. So I conformed for a while.
