Looking good Chris. Yeah, first time a truck is inside really changes the way you look at it. It's very interesting to me that they didn't put up at wainscoting completely before they did the top. On both of ours, that was first on each wall, then the top. Hopefully roof drips won't make a big mess on that front part that's not under the porch.
Oh I am sure they will. I expect mud half way up the wall. We are going to get gutters to help prevent that on the dirt side but also to set up a rain water catchment system.

They left. I would not expect to see them back today. :meh:

Edit: Oh hey, they came back! Now @mrboatman can change his reaction

I am shopping for spray foam. Will do 1 to 2 inches of closed cell depending on the price 1" v 2".

Even 1" will keep water from condensing on the inside of the metal. My current shop with spray foam is WAY drier than my last shop that had batt insulation only, and most parts left in it would eventually rust because of the high humidity in the shop from condensed water.

Getting close! The mud after today's rain left a hella mess but I can live with it.
The building is all enclosed. They have some soffit, all four corners and some trim left to do. They cleaned out the building so that was nice. There is standing water in a couple corners inside since the corner pieces have not been installed. (I wil be adding gutters.)
Pretty sure they can finish tomorrow!

I am not putting anything in it until it is foamed. I called 4 places today and left messages. Not a single call back. :sigh:

The shop looks great! Foam guys are just another contractor with all of the usual BS to deal with :-(

The local place I would like to use is closed for vacation until Monday.

Lost this thread and just caught up. Looks great!!

No show today. Told me he was coming to finish tomorrow.
One call back from a spray foam place. Still no estimate. Monday I will call the plqce that was on vacation.

That's a great shot from the top of the wall. Look forward to seeing how the next phases progress.

I think that's the general plan of attack, however I skipped step 2 thru 4 and went straight to stuffing it full of everything I had laying around, a bunch of stuff I didn't know I needed and all the things my lovely bride didn't want in the house anymore.

?? Stage 1 Basic Construction

Soon to follow with additional plans?
Stage 2 Electrical & Insulation
Stage 3 Interior Cosmetic (walls / floor / ceiling covering)
Stage 4 Move In & Equipment (compressor, mill, media cabinet, dill press, welder, ....)

Have fun

Yep. Working on getting insulation. I am going to build a mezzanine also - that will be right after insulation. :princess: says I should do it L shaped but I have not decided on that yet. I am batting around finishing the walls with some metal a co-worker has piled up on his farm and then putting the electrics in conduit outside the walls.
I also am going to get gutters installed to mitigate erosion on the back side and catch water on the front so save. I also need to do some grading.

MH told us about the mezzanine and I meant to ask you how tall you were going to make it? I've been kicking around something similar in mine.
