Thanks mate!

nice. when do we get to see it with the fenders on.

You want to come over and help? ;) Soon, I have to get all the bolts tight on the frame first and it is a two man job. Also, I am going to silicone the gap between the fender and body to prevent crud from getting in.

wow, as i've said inspired, i started on mine today.

You going to start a thread or what? Now I get to hound you for pics! :D

Mine is just a simple utility trailer, wont see any trails.

Drew, I couldn't get my daughter to think your trailer was cool until she say the final paint color. She is now impressed also.

Drew - that thing looks awesome! great job!

Blue?
That looks a hell of a lot like that Toyota blue.
Are you sure the paint supplier mixed it right?
Are you sure you want it to stay that color?
What the hell kinda board is this???.........
Oh....nevermind.

Just kidding. Looks great man.

Secretly, I'm sure you know I think it would have looked better GREEN.

:p

If I could delete your post, I would :D Just kidding, IMHO anything with the nickname of a bad music genre ... DISCO, shouldn't be wheeled! ;)

But Green is a great color....

...for envy :D

Yup, I hope to build a dedicated site for the trailer with a complete write up! I am also thinking of selling plans to build your own... just kidding, maybe but maybe not.

That's really something to be proud of. Nice job, really...

Thanks man, I still plan on copying your kitchen box idea. :bounce: :bounce2:

Well, it is Friday and I'm not on the road yet. No worries I am close, however, I'm forced to break for a while with my work schedule moving over to full time travel for the next few months.

Here is some progress shots though. One big issue was pressing the shackle bolts into the shackles... I don't own a press so that presents a problem. However, a friend and fellow mudder does, THANKS lfd270BEN!

Sorry, no after pics, they just sit nice and flush now! :D

Got my propane tank mounts all figured out and installed. I don't think I showed this already but I fabbed up a couple of "feet" for the propane tank to rest on, and added a lip with a hole in it so I could pass a bolt through and secure it up tight. I used 1/4" plate for the feet.

I have been using silicone throughout installing all the little bolt on's, hopefully it will keep the trailer water tight when all done.

I bought a few rubber strips from McMaster in 1/8" thickness with adhesive on one side to dampen the vibrations and get a good grip on the tanks... thanks again Brad for the powder coating! :)

Then I added a little split rubber edge molding to keep the tank from rubbing all the nice powder coat off on the first excursion.

A few more of the propane tank. It is just rested in there for the pics and not bolted down.
