If your running bio in your cruiser, you will need to change your own fuel filter a few times. Bio will clean all the stuff in your system out.

I would go buy 3 fuel filters and pack them with you.
Usually people say they need to change one in 500-1000kms,
And another in 5000kms or less, and then they are good to go as usual.

Cheers.
Nick

Thanks for the tip.I will be changing all filters and belts shortly.
I still have the factory fuel filters but I will be swapping them for an adapter and aftermarket filters which are cheaper.

Mine's much like that (but I think it's nicer)... but I probably paid a s***load more than you did :(

That's a factory 75 series bar from Toyota at time of purchase. It's definately NOT an ARB bar, the centre rails are wrong. I'll show you when I post up my thread.... tomorrow sometime :)

My cruiser with an aftermarket subtank (130 litres instead of 90) returns sub 10L/100km on the highway and its current kerb weight (on a weighbridge recently) with one tank (90L) full was 2560kg without me in it or any cargo. Around town it averages 12-13L/100km. I'll be interested to see what you return.

TIP: If you fill your subtank you can get 1-2L/100km MORE fuel consumption than running just the main tank with enough in the subtank to stop rust (5L or so). Due to weight alone :/

Hi Entaran welcome back. I trust you took lots of cruiser pics in Europe;)

Lets say I got mine at a very agreeable price.
I realised after looking around that ARB bars are level on top.
My 75 come from Goldfields Toyota but doesnt seem to have spent much time in Kalgoorlie.
It had a respray pre 99 ,probably from the stone chips and the red stain they get there.
Anyway Im confident its rust free.

Ive had it up to 120 kph and it still seem to have plenty left for overtaking .
I filled up the sub tanks to see if they worked and how much they took to fill up but I kind of worked out it would use fuel just to cart fuel around

Did you get that engine sorted out while you away and any pics of it?

Like it alot......

Now give me a crew cab to carry the kids and dog and call it a day.

Rob

I posted a pic on a English site and they reckoned it looked like a fruit and veg lorry:rolleyes:Fawkin limeys:D

Rosco... can you go weighbridge your ute for me please and post the result? I wanna see how much of a barge mine is.

I guess mine would be the same as yours without the chook shed on the back but maybe my aircon evens it out:D

Ill see if I am in the area where the weighbridge is. It used to be compulsory to have it painted on the side but they dont seem to worry about it anymore.

Rosco, Just wondering, is this what you get for doing someone a favor from overseas??????ROTFLMGO.

I havent quite worked that out yet;)

Got the canvas canopy off this week for repairs. I forgot about the extra height and went under someones carport and the gutter ripped a hole in it
Its not too bad as some of the zippers needed stiching and there were a couple of other very small holes.
The guy who made the soFt top is off chasing his filipino bride somewhere and couldnt be found so his ex boss stepped into do it:D
I got to fix the frame from where the PO also had a collision. Its too hard to bend back and will need some heat.
That frame is much stronger than it looks.
Its also got a heavy duty towbar doesnt seem to have had much use though by its lack of scratches and dents.
Its extra long to clear the tray.
I tried to take some pics of the underneath of the tray for those who asked but they didnt work out too well so I may have to climb under .

Thanks OILER. I got the canvas canopy back thurs and last night (sat) I went to a Jimmy Barnes concert in a really small town. 3-4000 people camped out in a farmers paddock in horrendous conditions. I was glad I could just crash out in the back without worrying about the wind and tents ect:D

Awesome Rig Rosco....that's It I'm Moving....call Ya When I Get There!!!!

You Canadian guys can import the 15 year old models.
Most of them are banged up but there is still more than a few good ones around because of the sheer volume sold here;)

rosco,
