Cut and welded shut the return nipple on my power steering pump.

Will be making high and low pressure power steering lines later this week.

What was the reason for not just running the standard integrated reservoir pump? They fit just fine

First it was just wanting to go with what came with engine. The more I looked at it the more I liked the idea of remote reservoir for ease of checks, topping off, etc. One big drawback is a potential for leaks.
 
Heater hoses are next on my to-do list. Need a quick confirmation that I am looking at it right.
Supply (red) is going to the heater core, Return in (blue) coming back to water pump.

I know I will have to add a crossover pipe between lines, but need to confirm if that diagram above is correct. Don't seem to have it in FSM.

this is an out of date mod.. I stopped doing these years ago. once the thermostat is open the same function happens internally

An hour a day goes a long way!
Throttle cable bracket is done, heater hoses are routed and attached. I really have to make sure not to forget the clamps😂

Looks like it's a straight shot from my stock airbox to the throttle body. Where can I find a 85 mm tube? Any ideas?

I used Spectre for hoses, purchased from Summit. Looks like you need a slight angle.

There is about a 30 degree bend. By "straight shot", I meant simple, not straight line 😂

A couple of updates:
MAF sensor fits nicely in the stock airbox lid with some silicone electric tape.

With some persuasion even one of the mounting brackets worked.

Tried putting the radiator in place to plan out the shroud and found that my fan could move forward another inch. Ordered a clutch fan with longer coupling off of 2014 Silverado 2500

Extra clearance at the intake elbow would be nice, too.

This might be the last update for a couple of weeks. Going on well deserved vacation!
Hoping to fire it up by the end of October!

Unless you modify the air filter box, there won’t be enough air flow for the Lq4.
Please tell me more about it. What kind of mods are needed?

I tried using the stock air box with my LQ4 swap and kept getting lean codes from the ECU at high speeds. Here’s a good read:
Actually it’s post #12 that I was trying to copy, not my El Cheapo post. The whole thread is worth reading tho.
