Thank you! What is "spiders"? I only do 3 points on each driveshaft, is there other spots in 200 series with zirks?

I use this, it fits all and smaller than LockNLube fitting
Spiders=U Joints. If you’re hitting 3 zerks on each driveshaft you have hit them all.

The u joints can be tricky if you have aftermarket skid plates so that’s why I suggested the slide on 90°.

Here we go. So much for "upgraded oil canister". I didn't torque it at all, mind you. I only gave it little push, heard sound like sometime o-ring slips. Called it a day.

Next day - puddle in garage.

Removed oil canister - big o-ring all good.
Reinstalled, filled oil, started, dripping right from this 3/8 square hole. Took this thing out, can't tell.
Put it in. Gave it little twist - broke off.

Again, I am not first time mechanic, didn't take much to crack aluminum at all.

Now I am car-less, need to figure out something ASAP

Same thing happened to me last fall when I changed the oil on my new-to-me 2013 LC for the first time. The local autozone had a generic replacement for $10 or so.

I keep forgetting to order an OEM replacement, but the one from autozone is still holding up without any issues

If you want OE quality the part number is 15643-31050

Personally I’d trust a generic parts store part in the short term to get you back on the road..

Specified torque is 9ft-lbf. I actually do the conversion to in-lbf and the appropriate small torque wrench for this part, given the value is so low.

All good now. Got some no name alum assembly from Amazon ovenight. I just won't touch this plug anymore. Fiddling with plastic thingy to drain oil/etc is just time waster. I learned that unscrewing main body let it drip, and then remove it while holding small tray is all needed.

What freaked me out is thought that I could have killed engine. Just got lucky. I drove for 15 miles after oil change and then parked car. I smelled little burnt oil, but I thoight maybe grease from greased shaft sling out on exhaust and made it smell.

Then we had beautiful weather so I was riding my bike and then I noticed puddle under car next day. Oil level was at a tip of dipstick.
Whole bottom is soaked, good corrosion protection I guess, but I will smell it for a while looks like. Rear hitch/window covered in oil mist, I was wondering where it came from.. You get an idea...

60k maintenance update report. Brakes were on edge. Good timing to replace. Went all OE all around. Rotors looked good, I think machining would allow for reuse.

Transmission fluid drain/fill/adjust produced smoother shifts. Not sure if it's fluid (drained about 3qt looked great) level or fluid itself.
PS fluid was nasty, see pic. I put note to do it again in 10k. Maybe placebo but steering feels better as well.

AHC is still on TODO list. Was waiting because of potential need for software to reset AHC error (pump error)

Wanted to post this in case anyone else is interested or searching. I didn't find any definite information on subject myself.

Techstream is something I've used before (via VM) and something recommended/used here. Makes sense, it's made for Toyota.
Problem is - legal one is pretty expensive. Another problem - even illegal one is $80 :)

I have other brands cars too so I decided to get diagnostics computer which could be useful for all cars. I got Launch CRP919X BT ~$400 shipped.
Happy to say - it reads every module in LX, it can do all of the things I would want, including AHC activaitons of all corners, etc. Adjustments of ride height and so on. It is nicely laid out and it took me almost no time to figure how all this works. Speed is also something to note after using Techstream via VM

All I wanted to say - No, you don't have to have Techstream to do specific functions on AHC, Launch covers pretty much everything. And works fast.

CCN (all hail His name) would approve of your fluid selection. I too am using the Idemitsu psf and have enjoyed it. For a total psf volume replacement, I think you’ll need more than 2 bottles. I could be wrong though as I always buy way too much of it.

CCN is who influenced fluid choice. Also I have some of my own preferences. For engine oil I do 5-30 M1, also use M1 for diffs. But for transfer case I use this super expensive Toyota fluid…

PS - I was removing fluid with extractor, filling back, two R/L steering cycles, repeat. 2 bottles allowed for 4 replacements. CCN uses 2 bottles in a same way. According to what I saw might need more. Will do another 2 in 2 oil changes and see
