I think what I'm going to do is take the lower rear mounts and turn them in and aim them into the center of the new axle and the uppers..I'm gonna angle them out..see how that works fo' me

The front might need a panhard(but then again I dont have the 4th link in place yet
 
Last night I got the rear brake drums stripped off..won't be needing those for pinion brakes...The plan is to get the link brackets, air shock mounts, and the mohawk pans on the axle then sandblast it and paint it.

These brake drums are quite heavy..I figure they shed prob 50lbs per side

Dude, make a fawking decision and stick with it. :flipoff2: I went through this process with mine, but I finally realized at some point you just have to finish it so you can wheel it. Otherwise you're just spending too much time and money to stare at a pile of metal in the garage.

Whatcha gonna do with the beadlocks? :D

Also, PM me a quote on a MC07-10 will ya? Know anyone who needs a D300? Need to sell that to pay for the adapter.
 
I'm going to try to go down to Galloway's tire shop this week and trade the (5) brand new 42's and 5 recentered H1's for (4) 47" LTBs and a set of unmolested H1 wheels

I hope you're not dealing with Lester...he'll change his mind before you get there. And if you're trying to get a used 315, find a fat kid named Cook or Cameron and he will cut you a deal if you tell him you know me.
 
Im sorry to say it, I think I liked it better the way it was - v6, 80 series diffs on 42s, that was way cool.

Dunno bout now though, whats the story with the truck diffs?
