very nice indeed. very clean install. you switched to Hydroboost. what booster did you go with? custom adapter i assume.

Very nice job. Is it just me or does the cummins an easier and more reliable swap than the Mitsubishi and Isuzu options?

Nice work! Very clean!

I have all my parts sitting waiting to get transplanted. This weekend I am buttoning up my Ram 2500 build, so that I can start my 6BT conversion.

Looks great!

Are you worried about the extra torque twisting the frame at all? I've heard stories of the w250 dodges twisting frames with that motor.

Your talking about a 23' plus long truck prabably pulling 20k plus. Old truck were made to flex to much you could get the momentum moving and twisting

Your also talking Gen 1 cummins which the truck base traces back to the 70's

I think our frames are plenty strong to take the torque but the weight and vibration are going to add to the stress cracking around the steering box on our trucks.

I'm pretty easy on mine when driving. If I get on it its when I get into 4th or 5th gear. With a 5 speed the first three gears are too high revving to get any good speed plus I loose boost when shifting gears. I can fly around cars and up hills on the highway.

1992 gmc safari and ended up using matching master cylinder as well... I have learned a ton about hydro swapping. Several guess and checks, multiple oversights, but finally after a ridiculous amount of research with no definitive answers I really have a grip on how they work and y mine seemed to be problematic. Push rods on both sides of the booster was the snag, they really have to be the correct length. I focused on the booster to MC rod and assumed the pedal to booster rod length was good... Reality is that pedal arm rod was 1" too long. Throwing all of it off. All is better now  lots of safari and astro vans in the 90's came with hydro boost for some reason plus another thread here on mud used that model so I did same... I'll try to document the hydro boost conversion and details soon.

This will be the weekend I put some miles on this unicorn!! This pic makes it look a lil more cyborg ish actually... I'll get to those cosmetic details later :steer: Just a few things to button up and gonna swap out the el cheapo trans cooler for a good one I just got, then go

So getting the transmission dialed in after actually calibrating the throttle position sensor as instructed... And for future reference this is mandatory before the trans will actually shift properly. I kinda half assed he calibration step and the result was driving in limp mode... Lame. Now it's almost great I'd like to tweak some shift points... Also I'm finding the scary compushift is very user friendly
