Dang a failure this early? How was the PS servived previously? What fluid are you running specifically?

I was sucking out the fluid in the reservoir and refilling every 10k, using valvoline maxlife. Once it started whining about 5k ago, I found the fluid it be quite burnt and I was replacing it every 200 miles or so and each time, it was dark and stinky.

I think I maybe burned up the pump on elephant hill in canyonlands.

Replaced spark plugs at 123,000 miles and I think they were past due.
