My HJ47 bellhousing and clutch fork came in today from Australia. The bellhousing does not have the "HJ" casting on the top, so I think it is correct.

I'm going to powdercoat everything. Any suggestions for this clip? I'd prefer not to remove it. Maybe they can just powdercoat it as is? It's going to get worn as the clutch fork pivots anyway.

@roma042987, I also took your advice and reached out to @lcwizard about the H55F skid plate. My fabricator thinks it won't be a problem with the parking brake drum and speedo cable.

Another question - I have the HJ47 aluminum bellhousing. I need the braces that reinforce the bellhousing at the sides of the 2H/12HT.

Can I use the braces from an HJ75 or HJ60? Or are the bellhousing braces HJ47 specific?

Edit: I did more research and the part numbers are the same: 33118-60010 for RH and 33119-60010 for LH for both HJ47 and HJ6#. I suppose we'll find out for sure when I go to install.

Any update?
Do the HJ60 and HJ75 parts fit indeed?

HJ47,HJ60,HJ75 - the two braces are all the same.
That's good news, thank you mate!

As it concerns the bell housing, my question is: does the early HJ60 (1980-84) housing fit unclocked, exactly like the HJ47 housing?
If YES, is it with or without the HJ casting/stamp, in order to recognise it?

PS. Given that HJ47 specific parts are very rare here in Europe, found only some early HJ60 parts, so the answer can be decisive for my J45 project...

I have two good images here showing the two versions of the bellhousing .. one of the images points out a couple of casting differences that can help identify them. 2 new items by Duncan Margetts - https://photos.app.goo.gl/hnYqW1adf8RiinRj6

Yes, an early 60 bell housing is unclocked and identical to an HJ47 bellhousing. The "HJ" stamp seems very hit and miss, I am unsure on that aspect of it.. use the image above.
