Not sure what brand the rack is, was given to me, works fine, will need to get a 4 bike rack eventually. Slee hitch.

I'm curious if anyone makes this style of rack but uses the rear wheels for support vs the front wheels. This style of rack makes the bikes flex at the top tube/front fork area. I've seen this on multiple rigs going down dirt and bumpy roads. Just curious!

It’s minimal compared to the flex any flex happens when you’re riding the bike. Plus if all the bikes were hung by the rear wheels the handle bars would collide, but also the rear wheel doesn’t turn to accommodate the angles spot designed for the front wheel. Many reasons it won’t work and isn’t necessary.

Not sketch at all tractor has 2” receiver on 3 point….rock solid, plus the trailer was loaded enougb four s cush ride….

Ah didn’t realize it was into a hitch. It sort of looks like it’s only held down by ratchet straps.

Ive not seen any or heard of any that be cool id someone came up with one

Not hung by the rear wheel but resting on a rear wheel carrier. I'm curious if anyone makes such a thing, not a huge deal as I'll make my own. I think I've seen carriers that use the bottom bracket for support which seems more solid to me. It was more of a curiosity thing for me.
 
that's really interesting, thanks for showing this to me. So, you rest the bike on the rear tire carrier, then pivot it over so that the forks connect to the through axle skewers? This looks like a solid product. Is it a modified version of something you can buy, and if so, may I have the link pls?
 

We rented an RV with one like that on the rear hitch. It held 6 bikes and had a bar at the bottom where the rear wheel was attached. I know they're around, but don't know the manufacturers since I haven't been in a market for one.
 
This is my main biking rig. Had to get tongue extender to make room for spare tire and gas caddy.

I did this as an experiment on the 80 by adding a hitch extender for a single bike tray from 1Up. I watched the bike moving up/down on the hwy expansion joints :oops: and thought to myself it's time for to build me a swing out.

Same. Really the only thing I don't care for about my 1-Up is that the tension bolt that presses it into the receiver loosens over the course of a long day of driving. I get paranoid the loaded rack will walk its way out of the receiver.

Soooo ... I drilled a hole in the bottom of my receiver hitch that aligns with the threaded hole on the tongue of the 1-Up -- the hole that the 1.25" to 2" adapter usually bolts onto. Instead of bolting the adapter to the 1-Up's tongue, I run an M6 bolt up through the hole in the bottom of the receiver, through the adapter and into the tongue. A once-around wrap of packing tape keeps all the pieces lined up for assembly.

Edit: here are photos. The first is looking into the receiver with the bolt poking up in the back, and the second is the view of the bottom of the receiver with the bolt going in. (Yeah, I miscalculated the location of the hole before getting it right haha)
