While doing little looking it appears they have a few very nice hj45's and a 40. All look restored but I'm curious who is doing the restorations and any kudos or stay away from this dealer?

I don't anything about the quality of their Cruisers but they have three to five on Ebay at any given time.

They do LOOK very nice from pictures, and I think they make good choices as to colors and wheels

They are re-sellers. But - they do have an actual car lot and office. You can see them in person - they are real vehicles.
I've talked to 2 different guys down there and they were both straight-forward in letting me know that they don't do the restorations and are limited in their knowledge of LCs. They are just trying to make a buck, just like everybody else. The Dallas area is one of the best places in the states to be a seller. everything seems/is overpriced here.

I'm actually headed down (their office is in Carrollton) in the next few days out of curiosity more than anything else. They do look very nice. I just have to see what the term "restoration" is in reality. Most people have a different definition of that than I do...;)

I'll report what I find.

"Restored and Mint" are two of the most abused terms used in vintage automobile sales. :)

I'll be very interested in what you find out. I was going to go down there and take a peek myself. I'm not sure who is doing the restoration but painting the bumpers, hood hooks and wheels the body color makes it look like a "blow and go". They look nice in the pictures and the mileage on many of them is listed as being very low. I wondered if the source may not be some South American Government fleet vehicles or something like that.

I share your concerns and would want to see a detailed list of what was done during the restoration process along with receipts. I agree that most of what they are offering on Ebay looks very nice and may well be but fresh paint always concerns me.

X3, They just look like assembly line painting from distance. However they may be some nice ones.

Besides "original", "unrestored" and "time capsule".

I like the "all original with only one repaint and new upholstery" you see all the time

My favorite : "Like New except for ........., ..........., .........., and .......... but the all time best one is "Rust in typical places but easily repairable". :D

Not sure what it means here, but, I have been looking for a cruiser for a little bit now, and am hitting every site I can looking at anything on the net... Motorcars of Dallas also uses the name GCA. If you search Carsforsale.com 1975-1984 Cruisers, you see the same cruisers as on Ebay currently, some with the GCA designation, and some with Motorcars of Dallas. The BJ40 they have currently on Ebay shows at a Motorcars of Dallas vehicle there. On Carsforsale.com, it shows as a GCA car. You can click on the picture and GCA has all the same pics etc. the address is the same as well in Carrollton, Tx. Just FYI...

For what's worth I called them and sales person I spoke with had no specific information on where these trucks come from or who is refurbishing them. I asked to speak to the person familiar with these trucks. He was supposed to call me back and I never received a call.

Hi, I travel to Costa Rica each summer. Most of what I see is very similar to the condition trucks we have here .Im going back this coming summer and will probably buy a diesel . my suggestion is to buy these cars before they are repainted . This way you know what your buying ,repairs in central and South America are different than what we expect here. Cheaper to go in person and buy a cruiser than buy a freshly painted piece of junk. Mike

id like to know just how much they want for there cruisers!!! They have been going up for auction for months and never selling. Just keep relisting them...
