Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

We just inspected this truck at my shop, it's super mint, rust free from Florida. Only saw one minor scuff in the rear bumper, i think it's priced right. Has radar cruise control too

No affiliation….saw it the other night while browsing. Got some rust from up north but it is the Amazon green everyone loves.

Hey everyone!

This has been a super informative thread, and I would now like to get your advice on a specific vehicle near me. I am currently in the market for my first 200 series, with my budget being $48K max. In a perfect world, I would love to get a 2016+ as I love the facelift and brown terra interior, however, I want to be realistic. I wouldn't mind spending close to my full budget on a well taken care of 2016+, but the other option as well would be to get an older 2013-2015, save some money, and then maybe invest in some upgrades like some BP-51s and some larger 33 inch tires, etc.

I wanted to get your thoughts on this listing from a local Toyota dealership near me:

Out the door, the price would be $40,500 (they lowered the price by $1,000 as it has been on their lot for a little over a month now). Which I still think is too high for the mileage and minor body damage reported by CarFax. The undercarriage isn't too bad at all; I noticed just some very minor surface rust (the sales guy sent me some photos). But the sales guy reached back out to me letting me know that they dropped the price, and then followed up by asking, "what price were you trying to achieve with the land cruiser?"

Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated! I included some additional photos that the sales guy sent me for your review as well.

Question for the group (not sure if this is the right place to ask) - I'm looking at 2008 LX570, 295k miles, 2 owner - 1st owners were older and serviced at Lexus/Toyota dealerships for 13 years. 2nd owner was their son's friend who acquired after they passed and he has had it serviced at a toyota/lexus independent shop. Clean Southern truck it's whole life - is $15k a fair price?
Here’s one for comparison if this answers your question.

Thanks. I just tried to post separately... will see if I can delete now that I see it posted here.

Any concerns about going almost two years between oil changes (per carfax)? Super low miles per year. Unfortunate that it's an auction vehicle and can't talk to prior owner to understand history.

The truck came from Florida, probably owned by an elderly so they dont drive often and doing oil changes every 2 years certainly not ideal but i dont think it's a cause for major concern. I briefly looked over the truck and the frame and it's pristine, only one scuff in the rear bumper, no dents or dings that i can see. Engine idled smooth and the interior looks like it's never been sat in. If i didn't buy my 100 i certainly would give this a strong consideration. Where in VA are you? If you want a thorough inspection i can do it at my shop.

It sounds like you have some leverage with that dealer, but if you don't mind traveling, I think holding out for a 2016+ is worth it:

What does everyone think about this? The undercarriage looks good even though it's a northern owned car.

Is that bar near the rear differential supposed to be not level when the car is on a lift?

Looks pretty clean. Likely some surface rust that's been treated/coated at some point but the hardware looks great.

Rear track bar is normal, it angles as the axle droops.

Thank you, Open Country. The more I have thought about it, the more I think it would be worth investing in a 2016+ rig. I reached out to the seller of that North Carolina Land Cruiser, but have not heard back yet. Thank you for sending it!

I am also looking at this option, however, it has some cosmetic body damage and I feel like the price they are asking is a bit high considering the damage:

here are some additional photos from the Sales guy of the damage. What are your thoughts on their asking price?

I feel like $70K is too good of a deal for this vehicle. Is it because it's a 4 owner car? Carfax history is lacking..
