One owner rider, Clean Carfax history with a build and sold dealership here in CO but ZERO maintenance history on the Toyota site which I've never seen before. Listed for 58k and driven by the dealerships owner for 700 miles over the last 9 months. Sent to auction twice with no success when it was finally reduced to 48k a week ago. A buddy of mine went to test drive if and made the offer of 44k prior to the drive contingent on how it did on the test. to which they agreed. He returned and asked for a 42k cash deal and they said they had to think about it.

The next day they reprice it 68k and say it's the market adjustment?

Too funny. I also inquired about that 2019 before I bought my 2016 and they told me the lowest they'd go is 45k. The really shady thing is I asked if it was a smokers car and the dealer said "if it is, we'll smoke bomb it and it'll be good as new." The other alarming problem with that vehicle is it only has 4 service records and when asked what's wrong with it the dealer said "nothing its a Toyota." I'm inclined to believe it has more than 114k miles as I was also told the owner has been driving it for a year. WTF! anyone interested in that LC doesn't need to walk, but rather RUN!

Nice guy, I think he ended up or is in process of selling to a friend/acquaintance.

It is the wholesale value, just happened to be relatively nearby.

Cool to see a 300 build, I would immediately remove the upper bar, the lower portion accomplishes the goal of improving the front grille.

To pivot back to 200 values, the market seems to be taking a traditional Land Cruiser position.

High mileage, Rust, and service/use/accident history are really impacting the values both low and high, creating a wide bandwidth in values.

Is it reasonable to say for non late model 200 series buyers that low mileage, no accidents, and impeccable service history may command a 30-50% premium or looked at differently a high mileage rig and/or unknown or detrimental service and history, may need a 30-50% discount to sell?

I don’t think I would trade my built 21’ Silver HE even for it, but if I did, this truck would need to shed a half ton!
 
Thinking about selling a 2015 LX570 with 69k miles in Chicago (60640). Excellent shape - just had paint correction and wax. Very very clean underneath, set of 5 Rock Warrior wheels (no OEM 20" wheels), and an LC rack with 4 crossbars (or a Gamiviti Expo++ for extra money). Thinking $40k-ish with stock LC rack or $41k with Gamiviti rack? Does that sound about right to people? Or think I can squeeze another couple thousand out of it? Thinking about moving into an LC200 HE.

For a daily you could pull off the RTT, awning, lighter front, cargo, and swing arms. I also would have gone with Kings, USA made winch and I don’t like how they offset the RTT. For Overlanding, unless you just pull the trailer it’s nice to have a lot of that gear. They are light on tools and 1/2 ton would be hard to shed. Surprised there is no air compressor, and I am not sure if it has lockers. Not sure but I also fear it has been driven on salt.

I would say that is correct, but it is starting to slip more with flippers selling negative. More capital will get locked up next year and there will be less stupid money. Bigger picture, 40 Years of bad policies will haunt us for a long time. We are already 2-3 years into this cycle and the more govs manipulate the worse it gets.

Would probably have to see photos but you could probably squeeze a couple more $$ out of it. Cars in 40s seem easier to sell.

I can attest that dealership, The Sharpest Rides, is a complete dumpster fire and wouldn't touch that LC. I actually test drove it this summer, only to see how it would fit in my garage from a size perspective as I was potentially buying out of state. During the test drive and pulling into my garage, the LC leaked oil inside my garage and all throughout my driveway. I promptly returned it as the oil light was flashing/check engine light as probably most of the oil drained out. Tossed the keys to the sales guy told him about it and never looked back. I posted pics on google reviews and left them a terrible review on BBB which they denied it occurred. Aside from that, the LC was in crappy shape overall.

I've got a black 21 Heritage that I'm about to sell after the repairs are done from the minor front end collision I was in. 27k miles but it had to have the front end rebuilt, new transmission installed with all OEM parts. Zero airbag deployment. I'm hoping to get 70k for it on a trade in, but unsure if I'm being unrealistic.

I hate to be the one to say it, but if the front end needs to be rebuilt and transmission replaced- that's not a minor collision, friend.
