Everyone ok?

So is Josh OK?
Was truck drivable out?
How bad did it rain?

he should tell his own story but he's fine. this all happened before it rained.

Holy s#it Batman! I wonder who is going to get to keep the Carney award at his apt.

Fun ride until the end of the day. My truck kicked out of 4 wheel drive and I couldn't slow it down coming down 93C. I tried to run it into a tree to stop the skid but I flopped it onto its side then to the top and back on it's wheels going backwards down the trail. It then sped down the trail backwards for another 100 feet until it finally flopped again and stopped... and then it started to rain with a broken steering box and no brakes. After a few hours of winching in he rain we decided to leave the truck for the night and get a steering box. Today we were in an out in only a couple of hours when we had steering and brakes.

The ride was perfect until the four wheeling gods flipped Josh and took a big piss on us. Glad to hear you got the truck off the mountain Josh.

Hold the phone. Ted is suggesting Beasley Knob. Are you feeling well Ted?

Sid--I return to my prior position on Beasley aaannnddd I'm kinda thinkin' I gotta few more supporters :flipoff2:

this is before the rain came. Dave is pulling from above using a snatch block to get it back on the tires and Josh using his own winch to keep from rolling backwards all the way to Atlanta. I gotta say Dave did a great job, he stayed on that damn hill for more than 2 hours. Shortly after this video the skies opened up and that place turned into snot, this of course made things far more complicated and dangerous.

little did we know a the time this was the easy part, the difficulties were about to begin.

Yes, it really was that steep.

Glad ya'll got out in one piece.
Josh I predict a tube buggy FJ40 in your future.

The tub is actually fine the hood and passenger fender are really the only body parts that took a beating.

glad to see everyone's ok. I have a newer style hood for an Fj40 if you need it. It is not perfect but its in better share then your current one. I still want to check this area out when its dry... very dry.

That is the exact same place where a buddy slid off the trail in November. It was slick as snot and he was ping-ponging off trees. I prescouted the 'bail out' and it worked great - fortunately he didn't flop.

I'm glad you are OK Josh.

That was an interesting day! I was busy trying to flop my rig on the other side of that section while y'all were trying to keep him on the mountian! Maybe that trail should be closed. I can't believe I just said that. Personally, I like Beasley. I just won't run that particular trail again.
