I have a set if autolockers that came out of a 73 FJ40 I parted out a few years ago, I've decided that I'm never going to use them
Unknown manufacturer, no significant signs of wear or damage.

$225 shipped for both, or $130 each shipped.

One has been sold.

Nothing?

I am a big advocate of parts being put to use rather than sitting around on a shelf, don't be shy.

May fit the rear diff but not the front.
I'm not sure. I found them online and the fitment was like 1960 something to 1997 or so land cruiser but I don't know what axle the fj40 had. I think the site I looked at might have been wrong? Maybe not. Here's what torque masters says the Aussie locker fits. Seems like it should be fine. I think it's an ezlocker? It's got little spring caps

It's the axle shaft spline count that's important. Spline count, IIRC, has been the same from the 1970's up through 1997 at least. So for a rear diff in an 80 series this locker should work. Front diff in the 80 series is different therefore the locker would not work, but FR and RR diffs in 40s, 55s, 60 series are interchangeable therefore the locker would fit both FR and RR.

Thanks, I have one of the two on the way. It'll be a few months but I'll stuff it in or payva shop to do it. It's a small job but a pain in the rear to do. Might be worth hiring a shop that can do it in an hour vs me spending all day on the ground, one broken bolt away from a simple task becoming a 3 day ordeal 😬
