Nice pic of Jeff with sputnik, but that's one wimpy fire you guys have going. No pyromaniac's on this trip I see. I've had flames three times as tall as sputnik going.

I dont know.... Stan was a pretty good Pyro... he had the lighter fluid bottle in the fire a few times without a doubt in his mind of it blowing up in his hand lol

Not to mention the explosion while Yosh and I were in the tent . .. :flipoff2:

Nice pics, makes me want to get out there even more. Glad you all had a good time.

Let’s just say we put on a good show for Dave’s bday was some great grub, beverages, cake, loud bangs, shooting stars, light show, smoke, etc :D the lighter was worked

Looked something like this around the camp fire was a great rock backdrop:

BTW lets get a night run going ASAP, mounting my shortbus bumper with the new lights this weekend

  Happy belated B-day!

Read your blog - your site is pretty cool and appreciated the historical aspects of your travels. Many more.

I posted a link to your blog on the club forum, we have that scheduled for Octobers club run, so if you wanna go again...we'd love the guidage.

sweet photos, could youpost up the GPS of the camp site with the sweet view? or is it proprietary info>?

Excellent write up Dave! Enjoyed the pics and the history! That campsite backed into the cliff reminds me of our favorite campsite out near the old Carizo station in AB. It's tucked back into a little canyon with a huge ocatillo in the middle and a to die for view out to the valley.

Pablo, im sorry i didn't see your message you left on the blogsite... i just noticed it last night (the snow run comment).

As far as the GPS coord for the campsite.. lemme run out to the rig and see if i marked that waypoint. It's pretty easy to find actually so i dont think i saved it. Stan might have it if i don't.

EDIT: I just checked my GPS... nope, didnt mark it. But its at the top of Afton canyon just before you get to the fence where you exit out on the train tracks. It will be on the southside of the canyon over your left shoulder almost like a u-turn up on the hill. There is a trail that runs right up to it.
