Clean them up, sell them on ebay... should get some money for the paint!

Unfortunately I busted several of the tabs just getting them off. They could probably be JB welded, we shall see. The mud flaps came off nice though.

Was hanging out with dad today and decided to get started on the rear bumper. First, off with the old bumperettes and sill plate.

After that I just cut dad loose with the torch.....5 minutes later......

Ok so there was a little finish work with the grinder, but overall it didn't take as long as I thought it would. Next time I go up there I will be taking my box of 4x4 labs parts and start tacking the new bumper together. Moby is really looking like #$%$ right now. Hail dents in the hood, holes in the fenders, rust on the hatch, and now no rear bumper. We are definitely in the worse before it gets better stage of the project !

Looking good!

You'll still have to cut off about 4" of the frame horns, but that's easy to mark up once you bolt up the wings to the sides. I had a lot of fun building mine.

To bad you didn't post this last night before I got started. So I bolted up the wings, then could not figure out how the main shell went on. I finally found a picture of one and looked really close. The directions from 4x4 labs fail to mention the frame modification. So out came the torch (again) then lots of time with the grinder making the angle all nice. I currently have the wings and main shell tacked together, going to lay down the rest tomorrow night hopefully.

Doh!!! Sorry about that! I'll PM you my number in case you have any other questions while you're putting together the towing cross member and tow points and all. If you run into anything that's making you scatch your head, give me a call!

Nicely done!!!

Ok, so i finally figured out how to make all the armor match. The main problem has been that my ARB is linex'ed and none of the other parts are. I really like the look of the ARB but didn't know if linex would hold up on the sliders. So I did the smart thing and ordered an AOE front bumper ! Now i will just pull all of the armor off, spray it in Blitz Black, then call it good. That way i can just keep a rattle can of the stuff to touch up as needed. If anybody is looking for a very good condition ARB with Linex mine will be going up for sale in about two weeks.

Let me know about the ARB. I wanted to build a bumper but time is scarce right now.

In case someone else is interested, I am going to have to pass on the bumper for now. Going on a 3 week vacation is going to hurt my expendable cash for a while.

Thanks Malcomb for the consideration and I am sure you won't have a problem selling it.

When I got my sliders from @Mikesta back in January I picked up most of this slee TC skid plate in the deal. A big thanks to @2fpower for finding the rest of it when he went down there later that day. I would have had no idea ! Anyhow, it only took me 6 short months but I finally got around to installing the thing. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing my TC isn't going to get bashed. In our next installment, new tires !!!!

Bumpers, sliders, skid plates, new MT's?! If you're going to SMORR with us, I expect to see you bumping off rocks with me, Kelly, the Rob's, and the other aggressive guys!!

Looking good!

One of the Robs is more likely to lead you to body damage areas then the others. You just have to hang out with us more to figure out which of the three of us that is. ;-)

There's also a known 'ism of "never follow Rob." Again, just have to hang out with us more to know which one of the three!

Of course you also have to figure out which of the Mikes not to follow in order to avoid suspension component damage too. ;-)
Seriously though we all like to have fun and if you ask when you come to play we will tell you who is who. Hijack over
