Not sure we need the radios for a caravan through the MS Delta, but they are fun to have. Also, could be useful to make group announcements like "everybody back up we took a wrong turn." Otherwise, I just use mine to annoy Nolen or make fun of him.

P.S. Nolen, you have both of my power cords (cig and AC).

Anybody bringing young kids? I was thinking about brining my 4 yr boy and making a father son trip. If I bring him I may turn up the road after lunch to get him home. I'm assuming we will be in civilization for lunch.

Are you trying to be Kuhl with those radios or are we going to use them? Is the cheap one easy to program.
 
I'm all in: wife, 3 yo boy, 6 yo girl.... Possibly dog.

All are well behaved and I'm banking on lunch time to see if we continue or not.

Andy, radios can be hand programmed for our needs. No frequency hop or cypher.
 
First major bail out point will be Bovina. The rest of us will take 61 to Onward and then back across through Delta National Forest.

Bring snack/lunch food. Once we leave my house on the backroads we really don't pass any stores except early in Flora.
 
Depending on if I can get to Tolleson's shop this week to get an alignment will determine if I can come or not...

If I can plan logistics for 2 kids, wife, dog, and a truck I haven't met ...... Surely you can swing a balance with chrrreeeuuuss.

We dont do iPads we talk and discuss what we see or play "i spy" my kids dont get disengaged mentally.

Wife is an insomniac ..... Literally.

I'll handle them...... They are game.


Logistics was meant to define snacks, toys etc while Andrew has literally rebuilt his 200 3 times over; Ill get my truck 48 hours from kick off. All good, fired up!
 
Ispy is good for about 10 mins. Then I start dreaming about driving into a bridge embankment... :)

I agree shush we try and limit the kids and the electronics. But sometimes I do prefer the quiet they provide.

My wife could sleep anywhere. 5 mins into any road trip she's got her head against the glass, mouth open and snoring...

Thats why I married Natalie. She will have snacks, books, coloring stuff and PATIENCE.

All I have to do is drive/provide coffee.
