Swap the stabilizer and the drag link at the pitman arm bud.....drag link should be on the rearmost hole in the pitman arm......

Keep up the work!

got to get the bottom shot with SEM before I can get it mounted up there... still have not bought that stuff yet.... $$$ been a little tight latley so I will have to wait till I got a few extra $$ laying around.... I am hoping by the end of the month to at least start prep work....

also been working on getting the engine going... got it all hooked up and ready (at least I think so) MILLHOUSE is going to be in my area this week. going to drop off that caliper from Steve and also look at my engine and see what I got going, make sure I got it all hooked up correctly and help me get the timming set....

Did not work on the truck at all this weekend... too much year end accounting stuff to do for my clients... spent most of the weekend on that s***... not fun....

:eek:Wow! I just read this entire thread!

Great build and great shop! Inspiring for some of us that can't work on their projects at the moment.....

Pet that dog for me!! Here boy!!

well it was a huge mile stone day for me yesterday...... got the engine to RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was really pumped.... MILLHOUSE helped me get it going... still can not get the carb to fill with gas... think the needle might be stuck... so going to pull that off this weekend and see.. gas is getting up there but will not fill the bowl... once I get it to run for more than 30 seconds or so then I can fine tune it more and get the timming perfect.... Thanks so much MILLHOUSE!!!!!!

on another note.... I am pissed because my oil pan has a small hole in it..... if you look back to the engine picks you will see how rusty it was... well after the engine builder cleaned it up must have gotten a small hole in there.... so that will need to be changed soon... hope I can reuse my new oil pan gasket...

PS I am real hung over today..... Thanks for that also MILLHOUSE...:flipoff2:

Good to hear pal!

Aaron, I had my oil pan blasted and discovered a lacey rust through on the bottom of the pan where crap gets between the skid and the pan. I brazed it then sealed up the gap between pan and skid with black silicone to keep crap outa there.....working so far.;)

DAMN! Just read from the start! What a great job! Miss the wide open spaces where you can build a shop like that. That Cruiser is gonna be sweet and looks like you will use it! Best feeling in the world when it fires up huh?! Paint it yourself and have the same feeling everytime someone says nice Cruiser.

well got the engine running better on sat... did not have my fan belt but I ran it two different times for about 2-3 min each time... ABSOLUTLY no oil getting to the top of the engine/rocker arms. I have great oil pressure... pulled off the oil pressure sender... started engine for one second... got about 1-2 quarts of oil all over!!!! what a fxxxing mess... but at least I know for sure there is oil there.... Worked on this sat. night was super pissed off so I did not even go into the shop yesterday.... talking to Steve and making a list of things to check before I go back to the engine builder and kick his sorry ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or at least ask nicely for my fxxxing money back.... This was the one thing on this project I just spent the $$$ to get it done so I would not have to worry about s*** like this.... That is why I am so pissed.....:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I am going to drink!!!:bang::bang:

I'll bet he flopped the headgasket:frown:

My dad had this same issue. Problem was the cam bearings were installed incorrectly. Hopefully that is not your problem but that is what I would lean towards. Good luck!!!

pulled the rocker arms off tonight and it is not that.... hole in the head matches the hole in the rocker arms on the #4 cyl.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

what next pull the head off to see if the head gasket is incorrect????

if the tab is in the back is there any way it can be on wrong???
