Missing a Tail Gate Box

My truck came with the factory tools in the pastic box in the tail gate on the passenger side, but the driver's side cubby is empty. Can someone tell me what went there? Can't seem to find out in the owner's manual.

Mine was empty, too.

I believe it was for a triangle kit elsewhere.

Mine was empty as well. Now filled with bike tools and a small survival kit.

It's a great place for longer tools like a breaker bar and the larger sizer wrenches

Mine is full of bungees, ratchet straps, and rope.

I do remember someone digging up an OEM reflector kit for that side, but there are much better options these days.

In US it is empty. In other countries vehicles are required to have an emergency roadside safety kit that would include a warning triangle, safety vests, and first aid kit or similar.

Nice but absolutely useless and dangerous as any kid can access it. Your gun should always be on your body, not hiding somewhere in your car.

A smittybuilt flat repair kit fits in there perfectly with extra room left for tire gauge, flashlight, 4 to 6 pin trailer adapter, rags, valve core tool, etc.
