David with the 1997 FZJ Anniversary hoping to attend Sat and then I have to leave for the KCI airport Sunday morning. Just me again. One person, one cruiser, lots of expectations of fun fun fun. It will be good to see you guys again. David.

I couldn't get Friday off but I will be out Saturday with 2 adults and 2 kids.

Still planning on being there. Got 4 in the rig. Got the sliders primed last night, paint tonight.

My gang and I are now, regretfully, going to miss this trip.

Sorry to hear that. Was looking forward to wheeling the families together, as we were not able to wheel on Sunday at SMORR after my crew showed up..... always next time.

Timing--
We are going to leave Friday morning early now-- kids have a performance Thursday night I forgot about.

FYI the club will provide a BBQ dinner Saturday, and Mom and I are bringing a big pot of our almost award winning chilli for every one on Friday. also we have tons of coleslaw and potato salad for lunches.

I've been trying to make this work in some form/fashion for a few weeks now, but we have daughter's last soccer game, her volleyball tournament and my son's last football game all going down Saturday among other things like finishing cutting firewood and cleaning our nasty pond before winter.

Got wood

Just so everyone knows, we will have brisket, pulled pork, potato salad and cole slaw for Sat. night and chili for Fri. night. We do need buns, crackers, chopped onion and cheese to go with this stuff. We have plates, etc. also. Let's hope it warms up a little.

We will bring onions and sour cream.

Hopefully no meds were needed...

I seem to have a thing for buns, so let me know how many you'd like, was going to make a run tomorrow. I'm afraid you may be out there at the coldest time, Friday morning could be a freeze!

Funny story there.... last weekend was a scouting campout and when we got there to the site someone had cut down a oak tree years before. They were 20-24" diameter 2' tall chunks. I had brought a maul to split the 6" wood I had brought, but got some of the more mischievous scouts interested in splitting those chunks. Worked great to get out their excess energy and get us some nice oak to burn.

Got to love slave labor. :grinpimp::grinpimp:

Hope this isn't too late as we do need buns. Not sure how many to tell you. I would guess 3 dz. maybe. Looks like maybe 24 people counting kids for Sat., but some folks will want more than one sandwich probably. Do what you think is right. I guess extras will keep. See everyone there if I haven't frozen to death.

Is there anything else needed for Saturday nights meal? We will only be there Saturday so if you think of something reply and I should be able to get it.

Flatland, did you get the buns taken care of?

Cookies for desert?

Let me know.
