The annual Mike Sears run at Tuttle Creek ORV park is October 25-27th.

See our website for more information. Hope to see you there.

Please let us know in this thread if you plan on attending and how many. The club will be providing a dinner Saturday night, but we would like to have a headcount.

10-17-13: The USACE has announced that Tuttle Creek Lake and surrounding areas will reopen by Friday, 10-18-13. The Mike Sears run will still be held as planned.

Wanted to let you know that we will be there. 2 adults and 2 kids and one FOO. Thanks,

FYI-

Heard this weekend that Tuttle is closed with the government shut down. Army Corp of Engineers.

Lets hope that this ends in next 18 days. Longest shutdown was 20 days I believe.

Does anyone have an alternate plan/place if Randolph isn't open?

It's not listed on the districts website, but I suspect Mark Twain national Forest at Cassville is closed due to shutdown. KS rocks has a wheeling 201 event on the 26th, so I'm not sure if the park is open.

There hasn't been many people commit to coming, so I don't know if there is enough interest in an alternate run.

I think there is a family run at SMORR that weekend.

I have a need to run to Superlift in Arkansas, so I would even be up for that.

Isn't there something up near Des Moines?

I think I am going to go ahead and take that Friday off so I would be up for something else if Tuttle isn't opened back up.

Where ever we go

Just me and my little blue Sami

EButler was planning to attend, w/a guest in his 40

FWIW one of the local guys (Bruce Leach) here in Wichita was up at Tuttle Creek during the first weekend of the gov't shutdown and there were plenty of folks out wheeling. He there was no issue with access for the three vehicles he was with.

I'm a maybe and I'm not sure what vehicle I'd bring. If someone has an empty seat I might just drive the little red car and save some gas $$.

Please keep everyone posted of the plans. Thanks.

You know you're welcome in mine! Hell, you can drive, just might have to arm wrestle the boss on Sat :D No interest in KS Rocks tho.

So two adults if it happens at Tuttle.

Fed gov't will be up and running in 48 hours, so we ARE going to tuttle.

Got a list to finish on FOO, but should have a little time after today.

Got to find that exhaust 3.5" tubing to adapt the power steering reservoir.

need to mount the spare tire

finish welding and paint the sliders, mount

Anybody own a hydraulic log splitter? Got lots of free wood, but I am too old (lazy) to throw an axe all day.

I will at least be there Saturday (1 adult). If I can get Friday off it will be two adults and 2 children.
