Look foward to meeting the gang. This will be my first "expedition trail ride" in my 80. Noel is going to show me how to engage the lockers. See you all on sunday. What time do the Steelers play?

Count me in...I'll need an address. What do I need to bring…what time? I sent an e mail to the Mid Atlantic site with all my info. I will be driving my 74 FJ40 from Elizabeth City NC, should only take me about an hour.

Later,:grinpimp:

Yep, I'm in Dahlgren and living out of the hotel still, now hoping to close on the house next week. Why can't stuff be done when I want it to be done!?

So where is Chris' house?

How far out are we driving, are we gassing up before leaving the area or in Corolla?

I live right up the road from Wes on St. Brides. 912 Pleasant Ridge Dr. Chesapeake

I think i have a cylinder going bad on my 40 so i may have to bring my tundra.

Chris, provided the address already. Do a mapquest to get the direction or if you have gps. Gas up before you head up to Chris so we can go straight up. I don't know how far we are going, that is up to Wes. He is taking the lead.

Maybe I’m missing out on something…the trip is to the OBX right. I live in Elizabeth City NC, which is between Chesapeake and the OBX. From what I can tell most of you live in VA, perhaps I can meet up with you guys on the way down. What time are you planning on leaving VA for the OBX?

Later,

Corey

Hey Guys,

We are going to Corolla, which is technically not considered part of the Outer Banks, but most do, no problem ... We will drive about 12 miles? to the border of virginia on the beach, then head back over the dunes and ride the sandy, slightly deep water crossing trails ...

I will be coming

Josh (2) 80 Series (Me and my Pops) followed by my friend Will in his Lifted LR ...

No matter what weather, I am still down, see you guys then ...

-Joshua

9:00 AM Jan. 18th at Chris's house.

Great!' You finally posted here:flipoff2:. I have no idea what time the stealers going to play. I thought your Redskins fan.

Howdy guys. 4X4CPOSEADOG invited me over from the expedition forum. I'm in Va Beach, over by Dam Neck. My rig is an '87 FJ60. I'd love to meet up with you guys on Sunday, but unfortunatley I've made prior arrangements. If you all do anymore parking lot meets make sure you drop me a line, I'd love to come out and see your trucks.

MagicBeans, welcome aboard:flipoff2: The way I see your signature, you look like you have a beautiful 60. Would you mind posting pictures here of your rig. If I'm not mistaken, I think I saw your rig around Dam Neck area. Is your rig has a rear tire carrier and the exterior color is light brown/tan or a little bit cashmere beige?

That's me! :flipoff2: Here are some pics:

Very nice 60. I like that Defender roof rack, me likey. Thanks for the pics.

Nice 60! Were you on the 168 Chesapeake expressway recently? I think I saw you or a similar 60.

So is everyone bringing CBs? This will be a good excuse to buy one! Any suggestions? Will a average $50 unit be the same as the big 10 dial fancy ones?

Thanks for the compliments. She's my baby. I wish I were going this Sunday. Still, I have same question about CB's as mikedamageinc. I want to setup my CB antenna like kevinmorrowland's though. That thing is awsome. Keep in touch guys.

Noel, I'm a Steelers fan not a Foreskins fan!

Im in Florida airport right now talking on a pocket pc. I'll be home by noon.
I can lead cause im taking the 40 and will need to gas up the most. The way I usally do it is get gas right before the road ends and the beach begins. After that let Josh take over. He sounds like he can find some cool spots.

Make sure you bring cameras, and videos recorrders if you have them. If you don't know the spanish wild horses are in that area.

I won't have a cb yet, not time for me to put one in, but I'll have my 2 Motorola radios and Chris123 will have one.

yea I will be in my 40 as well, only I have one of those crappy plastic 13 gal tanks....I guess I will bring my jerry can to be safe.

See you all tomorrow....

later,
Corey

what kind of nozzle does your jerry have? the screw on type or the clamp on type?

So are you back home yet? How's your trip? The LX is already loaded with the goodies and munchies. Camera and camcorder batteries are fully charge. I'm building the rear tire carrier right now and will be installed in the rear bumper.

Anybody has a portable folding table that we can bring?
