No offense to anyone, but the FJ Cruiser guys seem to be only interested in making there rigs look sick, and know nothing about Land Cruisers or the heritage we all enjoy ... They seem to have no idea, they never wave, or wave back at that ... I know there are a lot of awesome FJ Cruiser guys, but the majority seems, well "bricky" like lifted Ford's and such ...

my2 ...

I don't know if you guys know about this local web bases 4x4 club or not. Not formal at all, totally FREE too. No President, dues, etc... They try and get out for a good wheeling trip about once a quarter. The Yota guys are pretty active there. But the only Land Cruiser guys (myself and another guy) got military orders out of there. There are plenty of Yota mini truck guys still around though. One of the locals has exclusive access to a pretty big farm area up near Charlottesville. It is a place called Tinsley Mill. The run's there are by invite only though. They usually post up a run announcement there, and invite people based on that. They also run OBX,Corolla, GWNF, Rousch Creek, Tellico, Crozet, and a few other spots. We have banned people from the board for posting pics of blatant illegal wheeling as well, and the club advocates membership into the United Four Wheel Assn. (UF4WDA). They may be a good group of guys to keep in touch with. Just a suggestion.

Cool, thanks ... I honestly think we will have no problem finding all Cruisers to fit our bill, but it is nice to be able to have a group of guys show you around certain spots ... Cruisers or not, I can appreciate SOME other rigs . . hehehe

I am actually a member of UFWDA and TLCA and would hope that most guys in our club contribute also. A plan of mine in the future is to be a business partner of Tread Lightly and maybe take the courses that they offer with a few other cruiser guys ... That would be fun ...

Thanks

I hope I can make it on the 18th, that might be the weekend I'm moving into my new house (if all goes well!)

I've noticed that type of behavior from the FJ guys, they don't seem to have the fellings for the real FJs, but like it was said, they probably just don't know. I like any 4x4 but tend to stay away from the domestic types as they are more of the thought to make their truck higher, louder, and just more obnoxious with no thought to practicality or purpose. Though I do have several friends with Chevy's and Fords...

Anyways, i say the more the merrier too!

I've heard of the farm by Charlettesville, the guys in Fredericksburg were talking about it and the Bay to Blue Ridge Cruisers have rides there. I'm hoping to join up with them when I move up there!

Merry Christmas.

Anyone receive some cruiser gifts?

I got a Land Cruiser license plate frame from my wife which I wanted since the factory logo is now blocked (Pics to come of all the new stuff) and I got some wrenches I've been wanting. Also a bunch of Home Depot gift cards from the family.

Oh and I got a wave from an FJ guy the other day after I made assumptions about them all!

Merry Christmas to everyone!

Ok, I guess we should try to get a rough head count on the Jan 18th trip to OBX, and to see what people are bringing. I guess we are plaining a lunch on the beach.

My wife and I are going and we are bringing Hamburgers, Buns and a small camp grill. (2)

Chris mentioned he's older son is going and they are bringing condiments. (2)

Noel said he is bringin his wife and son. (3) and maybe (2) friends?

Josh how many are your group?

HAPPY NEW YEAR:cheers::beer::bounce:

I'm going to bring some drinks, hotdogs, buns, chips, and a small camp grill too. johnsonf18 (Frank) is coming with us also on his green 80. I'm not sure if Mike (mikedamageinc) can make it since he just move to Fredericksburg.

Now, where and what time is our meeting?

My house closing keeps getting pushed back so it looks like my wife and I might be able to make the meet. I would like to contribute but since I can't commit fully I dont want to have to bail on anything so I can just plan on bringing more drinks and snacks or something.

As long as it is sunny not too windy and raining, we are good to go. Are you up north right now?

Yep, I'm in Dahlgren and living out of the hotel still, now hoping to close on the house next week. Why can't stuff be done when I want it to be done!?

So where is Chris' house?

How far out are we driving, are we gassing up before leaving the area or in Corolla?

I live right up the road from Wes on St. Brides. 912 Pleasant Ridge Dr. Chesapeake

I think i have a cylinder going bad on my 40 so i may have to bring my tundra.
