Had a great tjme. these are some fantastic pics. I will try to get some of the one i took posted ASAP.

After this trip I'm going to list a few upgrades I need to do.

1. I need more 12v outlets for my cooler and gps.
2. Front axle breather extended. My rear is all ready done.
3. Put my skid plate back on. Not doing that till it gets warm due to i'm going to have to drill out the broken bolts.
4. I cant see my high beam indicator in the day light unless, I take the little cover off. At night with out the cover, it's to bright.

Edit. Now i have to add another
5. rear diff pinion seal.

It looks like I missed out on a good time. The wife only has 3 more radiation treatments and then I can start focusing on the 40 again. I will be on the next trip.

Good, somebody put out a suggestion. I'm game for the same place.

I want to go to Uwharrie ORV in North Carolina, in late spring (May/June) for a weekend trip .... Trails and camping .... Actually the reason why I have not been on to load pics and such is because I am working about an hour from there, and driving back home on the weekends ... I have heard it is beautiful! I may take a drive down there in a couple days, to see, but I think the park is closed in the winter ...

Frank, if you havn't dealt with it yet, directly underneath your front exhaust heat sheild, under your intake, there is a little white plug and next to it, on the same wire harness, there is a pressue sensor thingy. The water and ice pushed mine out, just clip it back in and you should be good. Kind of hard to get to, but you can see it with your eye ...

Added: Rear Diff Pinion Seal ... Looks like we will be having a 3rd member party of some sorts ... hahaha
Also: Inside fender guards

Me too, but warmer weather ... Maybe Ocracoke too, that's a 3 1/2 hour drive though ...

I don't think it will be a huge deal. https://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/158862-pinion-bearing-preload.html. I'm going by pin_heads post. My bearings are probably still good. Because it must have blewout in a deep water crossing making me think everything else is ok. What I don't like is that I have a extention on that housing up to my cab with a new breather. Hopefully it was just an old seal that couldn't take that small amount of pressure and my extended breather is clear and ok. This is a used diff that I got a few years back. I changed it out because the first one had bad bearings around the pinion and leaked oil also. There is no slop in the one that is installed now. I'm going to try to change it out in place.

I'm ready for my other house to sell. Cause once that is gone i'm going to be building a rather large shop to work on my cruisers. Then I need to pull my tranny xfer case, birfields on both my 40 and 60 are leaking.

Camping would be cool down in NC.

Thanks for the tip!

I looked there and saw the disconned plug but couldn't find anywhere to plug it in, found the nub and thought it couldn't go there, but after studying the plug sure enough. Short story shorter, I'm putting a zip tie or something on there so it doesnt happen again.

So whats the difference with the clubhouse, we can just post random threads no matter chit chat or tech related?

I started a thread on the 80 series tech in case anyone is interested or didnt already see it. https://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-tech/263676-new-tires-bumper-lots-other-new-mods.html

I believe it will allow us to keep up with our events better and plan new ones. What we could have done was open up a thread just for our last obx trip and then posted pics in that tread while allowing every one in our group to not miss the post out in chit chat and not be following along. Anything you want the group to know post in here. If you got a tech question still use the 80 sectioin unless you think one of our guy can handle it or your showing off. Don't be affraid to open up new threads here.

unless you think one of our guy can handle it or your showing off.

For some reason I thought this was really funny ... :D:D:cool:

It's early for me ...

That makes sense and I can see how it will keep things organized.

I was showing off, all my new mods, but it was really just paying homage to the site and everything I've learned from people here.

I don't mind people showing off their rigs. I didn't mean it to be a bad thing or for a specific person.

MagicBeans I would like for you to show your rig off more. How did you fit 35"s on a SUA?

This is a pretty cool video if you have High speed internet. It's kind of big right now. I will compress it later. Not bad for a digital camera. If you download it you should save it to your hard drive.

Oh yeah this wasn't the deepest hole.

Wes, is it possible that you can upload this video on You Tube? That would be awesome and cool, right? Did you add this video on the MATLCA website yet?
