I was told this is too early for yours.

Why? it doesn't look to have the other vertical bar the later versions have. later ones also have different spacing and size for the hinges

the later ones, I sold a 82? and it had a vertical pipe between the upper and lower, close to the hinges. The upper hinge footprint was larger and had different bolt spacing than the earlier version.

The one Kevin showed is correct for LHD. He might also need the rubber catch and loop latch that attach to the body.

Late 1979 and newer that horizontal pipe was added and the hinge holes are different. I add a horizontal pipe to early racks that carry a larger spare tire and move the tire mount inboard when using larger/ heavier spare tires . Mine are 18”x 14.5x. 38 and heavy. The rack works well.
