Took a long weekend trip to the Black Hills this last weekend. It was a meeting point for some old friends that have moved out of MN. It was great to visit for us and especially the kids to play. All around a great trip. Nice private primitive campground with a creed running through it. Beautiful views and some awesome mild trails. Weather was awesome all weekend until we headed home. Pretty nasty tailwind(at least it was a tailwind) and lots of wind/rain the last 4 hours of the drive.

Took me 2 hours to drive up the unmaintained 8 miles into this campsite with the motorhome...of course it turned into a dirt road in the camp grounds... lol.

It was not without incident. My battery cable rubbed on my turbo feed line and shorted out melting the stainless steel braid coating and then melting a hole in the plastic oil line. A trip to the hardware store for a barb fitting and the use of some zip ties for clamps and we were good to go. I will get a photo later today.
 
I have a long list of upgrades I wanted to get done this winter. I started on getting compound turbos set up on the OM606

I also got started on a camper trailer to pull behind the 40. Painted the under side of the box this weekend. I think it was the last nice day for painting outside this year...

Matt had the cajones to text me at 7am this morning to measure some stuff on my 80. Nevermind it was -17°F outside.....

I refused that request. 😆

But we had such a wonderful morning conversation!!! lol.

In the Wyoming thread a while back you said something about a crank, are you doing that? Are you already a twin turbo?

ETA I see the start of the compound turbos above but wondering if you finished it and ran it yet?

Compounds are still in process. Waiting on the last couple pieces to make the downpipe. Then I should be able to fire it up. No crank. lol.

And hopefully I will have most of the front coil setup tacked in today.
