I think its from a 240...? 99ish.

cool what 3FE??? Im sure it will cool this vortec V8 just fine.

I meant the 3FE in my truck. Figured if it will cool the V8 it would cool the 3FE I have no problem.

I have been looking at electric fans but I'm concerned they won't draw enough to replace the stock mechanical fan on the 62. I couldn't find any information on a 90's 240, they stopped making the 200-series in the 80's. Is it possible it was an S40?

The engines are pretty small in those cars, I didn't realize those fans would work for a bigger engine too.

Its really the same fan as a ford taurus however the relay system is thinner and easier to work with. The fan blade is also slighter different in that it pulls more volume.
Heres a link to a video a friend up in Park City did on these fans explaining the differences and how it actually works too. Check it out.....

Awesome, thanks Alaska! I'm sold,I see a trip to the local junk yard in the near future.

looks like we will be firing this up on wednesday or thursday as I just got a tracking number from Howell for the harness and computer. Wednesday delivery. should be okay cause i still have a few things to button up prior to throwing a match in this.

I still need to pick up two O2 sensors, and a starter.

We are extremely close Heffey!!! very close!

you're using the 3fe starter on the vortec? or do you need it for something else?

I think he might need to pick up a starter for the vortec. The 3FE starter probably won't work.

Hey Stevo...
My dad is a television repair man, he has an ultimate set of tools.
I can make a toyota stater work on a vortec.

hows the diesel comin?

Went and saw the 62 yesterday at the Barn, WOW! It looks so amazing in person, photographs truly do not capture it. And there is tons of real estate under the hood now, you could easily fit two more batteries and a compressor in there, there's that much space.

Harness and computer are scheduled to arrive today according to the UPS tracking website. I cant wait around for it though. It should be at my house when I get back from the barn.

Wiring harness arrived yesterday around 4:30. Needless to say I drove to the barn and worked until midnight. I got most of it complete but not powered up just yet. I will complete it today.
