Hey Guys,

As times and priorites change, I've made the choice to part with Matilda.
She's been loved by every owner she's ever had. She's very clean, mildly built and has been maintained as she should be. I will post the pics first and details will follow soon. She's in Portland, OR, I'm asking $7500 obo, but will possibly work some kind of deal on a LX470 OR a Left hand drive Troopy (me adding cash..)
Thanks for taking the time to check her out, happy trails. I'm posting here first. If she doesnt sell to a mudder, she's going to craigslist. She was my daily driver until I purchased a UZJ100. Now, she barley gets used. Though capable on the trails, she has not been abused off road. The undercarrage is dent and rust free. The body/paint is gorgeous and dent free. She's reliable and will be a good match for a new lover.

Am interested. Just sold my '04 Taco Xtra cab to pick up a family wagon now that we have our son to take along. Am in SoCal, however, which makes inspection difficult. Any pics of the undercarriage or the lift? How are the axles and birfs? Has the gearing been changed?
 
Not sure of the gearing, I'll dig thru the receipts. It doesn't seem to be short on power even on the freeway pushing 35"s in comparison to a stock fj62 I had recently. Will Take some under shots and post them soon.

In regards to this sale, I really would prefer she go to an enthusiast. There is a tremendous amount of pride in her. I put a sign in it at work. I got called by a guy who was really rude pushy telling me that I was way out of line on my price though He obviously doesn't know cruisers and I got really offended by his demeanor. I'm open to offers from enthusiasts. Do you guy/gals think I'm out of line on the price? I expected her to fly off the shelf.

The price doesn't seem way out of line. It looks really nice and well taken care of. For the price, I think people just want to see more pictures to prove its worth. Good luck with the sale!
 
There's another thread talking about the value of a truck that doesn't run, has no accessories and then there's this thread with an awesome truck not getting snapped up? Go figure...

has the emissions system been modified at all? Would you have any reason to believe this wouldn't pass california smog?

I have no idea if it would pass CA emissions.
She passed Oregon Emissions (DEQ) not that long ago.
Are they similar tests?

Right? This truck is amazing. If I was looking, I would fly out there and drive it home.
