My 1985 pickup 4x4 master brake cylinder is leaking. I want to know if anyone out is running something else besides oringinal equipment. I just bought it and have been getting it roadworthy.:)

You could try an FJ80 or maybe a Tacoma master cylinder, and do the IFS brake upgrade at the same time...there are write-ups out there on this...

Your master is 13/16" diameter. Early IFS V6 masters are 15/16" and later V6 masters are 1". You can run them, though you won't have as much pedal throw. You will probably need to tweek lines a bit. As I recall from my research the early 15/16" has different plumbing. Shoot, I'll shut up and send you to my write ups. Strongly recommend getting the master with the booster, and doing the vented brake conversion.

Thanks for the input. Found a rebuilt one with a lifetime warrenty at the local auto parts. I paid thirty bucks for it instead of the 214.00 they wanted the Toyota dealership.:)
