Use cell phone with radio pandora and small speaker then take it with you.I would make a motor that pulls in the radio, then you attach a fake face or, empty face with wires sticking out as if a radio had already been stolen
Lets focus on WHY thieves like these trucks!!! What could be done to counter act the reason the trucks are being stolen? negate the effects. In other words....do something to the truck...where the thief requires noisy power tools to break through the security in order to steel it. Put in a Fogger inside the truck that is activated...ohh and bright lights that make the fog light up. No one responds to car alarms. But if the fog is pouring out of the truck...then have a recording play "fire Fire call the fire department"on a PA system. Public panic more when a fire is near by...vs some car break in

Also move out of the hood to an area that doesn't have fools that take your stuff.

Of course moving away from the culture of violence would be the first thing to do. I lived in Atlanta near King Center. Like a third world country. Gun fire nightly.

yes, that is what the BC goverment did....and they also created a remote disable switch. A small computer called a arduino can do this. I think it excepts a sim card module and you can sent commands over the cell network to disable it. I would put in a proximity sensor and have it flash bright red strobe lights and have the small computer call your cell that some one is near the truck.
