I figured out how to use paint stripper in 100+ degree, AZ desert climate at the shop. Coat it on thick and heavy, then cover with thin plastic, 1-2 hours later its 90% bare metal. Touch-up the 10% and its complete. While removing paint from other vehicles, I did a small test spot on the roof of her 80. It removed the bed liner and paint to bare metal. Last time we tried this, It was drying too fast, so it was unable to produce results. With the plastic, it cannot dry out, and it does not eat up the plastic. The last time I used stripper was 20 years ago, and it bubbled the paint off the vehicle in 15 min without plastic. Apparently the chemicals have changed.
So, now she will be finishing this paint removal project hopefully very soon.
