She's looking good! Seems like a lot of people are blacking out the stock rims, I don't really understand why but personal preference says they look like crap blacked out.. But on a side note I like the blacked out pizza cutter look!

I know a lot of people don't like the blacked out wheels. My DD is an E90 M3, with blacked out factory wheels also. I have always liked them, because they are lower maintenance (no brake dust darkening), and they look meaner somehow -- more utilitarian or stripped down like a work truck (or race car in my M3s case). Keeping the stock wheel cuts cost and keeps a hint of the original styling which I like.

Very good points, I have been debating on going to a Toyota recycler near me that sells the FJ/Tacoma/Tundra/Sequoia steelies for dirt cheap and picking those up but the stock ones as they are have grown on me. The debate will rage on in my head until one day I am close by there and just "drop by" to see what they have. I guess for me it is just the star pattern coupled with them not being incredibly deep.

Oh well, like I said, your truck your stuff and if you like it who cares what I think!!:steer:

i really like the blacked out stockers, it gives them new life if the chrome isn't in great shape. if i had gone with a 10.5" tire, id of probably gotten my set powder coated.
And i want to take a closer look at those sliders you got there if thats cool, when i was there last, they were still in the box.
You're lucky they made it on to your truck haha, i was plotting my robbery the whole time. But i guess they're welded on there now, so i missed my opportunity ;)

Stage 1 Complete!

OK Here's how she sits today. I should be able to pick her up tomorrow and get some miles on her before the ACC campout so I can figure out the new handling and how the new head affects the driving... Need to find my old roller fairlead ASAP -- probably buried in the shed somewhere.

So the first trail trial was at the ACC event at Golden Mountain this weekend. She did well, but I didn't do anything too tough (too new to flog too hard)... Also got my PFran LEDs today upon returning home and installed them in about 20 minutes, including the time it took to clear enough camping crap out of the rig to access the lights. Reverse lights are friggin' bright!!! Love this rig. Pics to come.

Had a blast wheeling with you, nick, Charles, and mr. Peter at the invitational. And I can't wait to see what kind of shenanigans we can get into when we all get together for gsmtr 2013 haha.
And post up some of the pics of those lights!

Will do... Definitely enjoyed the group we broke out into! Trail 7 was definitely a good use of an afternoon! I think I might try it next time, if I grow some bigger cajones...

Get a flippin' FB account! Have you heard of this thing called the interwebs?? :flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2::hillbilly:

Ankur has, hands down, one of the best looking 60's I've ever seen. I told him at camp, and my statement is still standing. If I were to choose ANY rig at the ACC Invitational it would be Ankur's 60. We had a blast at the ACC run, probably one of my favorite events in terms of people. The wheeling at GMP is a little tight for the 100 as I displayed to Ankur on trail 7. I thought the 60 kept up with the 100 on the mountain passes quite well. You made it sound like the kids were going to have to push you up the hill! I think you passed me a few times too!

I just noticed you named your rig Java Monster   . That was priceless!

Great scenery in the rearview mirror coming home :steer:

And heres Ankur definitely NOT pissing over the side of a scenic overlook

My :princess: would not let me post the one she took because you could clearly see the stream... of water, since I was definitely NOT pissing over the side of the scenic overlook! :grinpimp::hillbilly:

I think I'll post it anyway:

Went to Durhamtown with RobustBambi today. Got stuck for a little bit, but winched and towstrapped out pretty easily. First stuck for this rig:doh:. Was a sentimental moment.

Not used to looking in the 60 Section, but since I actually know a couple folks with 60s now, I guess I should poke around in here every now and then.

Saw your video on FB. Looks like you guys had a good day. The rig is looking really good. You liking the km2's? I am going to be needing tires for my 4Runner project and I am thinking of trying out a set of them.

Yeah I love them. Get a set!! I've had KM2s before. They don't let me down, except for when I'm stupid.

It was a great day today!
